This is a great example of why going with a tether-less airbag maybe a better idea. Because it uses a combination of gyroscopes and accelerometers to detect a crash so it can still deploy even if you remain close to the bike during an accident. Additionally consider an airbag that has more shoulder protection. Great tether-less systems are made by companies like Alpinestars and Rev-It.
