Trump is the poster boy for the seven deadly sins.

@Mauisurf71

Robert has the true heart of a great educator! He is not only a brilliant thinker, but he has genuine care for his students. Bravo!

@garyoksanen7988

RFK is utterly demented.

@CherylH-z4l

The White House filled and covered in GOLD is so incredibly low class. For which Trump doesn’t seem to be aware. Tacky, tacky, tacky!

@crashnova7601

As Trump gets his own "palace in the sky" our country crashes ever more into the ground.

@cderden

Can’t think of a better way to start a Saturday than the Klatch.

I talked with my wife this morning about what is going on in this country. She has now been a Teacher for over 40 years, we both have seen the changes to society during our life time.
And neither of us understands why ANYONE in their right mind would vote for GOP.
For years she did not make enough money to support herself. Teachers, especially in preschool and others, make pittance compared to the responsibility they carry for the future of the children in their care. PITTANCE!
And the GOP is cutting all the programs supporting parents who make less money and schools and the consequences will be dire.
People in the lower income brackets cant afford daycare, preschool and others after school services. So they are forced into a choice of not working if they have kids, or the majority of their income goes towards having safe care for their child(ren).
But on the other hand you have the GOP write a bill that shoves billions up the rear end of people who do not need it. And if they still want it. It simply is because of greed, for no other reason.
But yet, people vote for those people, again and again. While they watch with glee, services that THEY THEMSELVES depend on are taken away. Services that make THEIR lives, or people they know, those life’s easier, even if it is just marginally better.
But to vote for continued corruption, for continued redistribution of wealth and power from the lower income brackets to the higher, is simply ignorant, stupid, unbelievable if you think about it for just a few minutes.
I am so disappointed with the spoiled rotten, complacent, greedy and ignorant, egomaniacal, so easily manipulated people this country is turning into, has turned into.
I don’t need Social Security, yes give it to Musk….. Are you nuts?
Take away from the people who need the help, to those who should give support to the people on the lower end. Like Gates and Buffett. Both saying they should be taxed at a higher rate, and Buffett famously saying some years back, that he paid less in taxes than his secretary did.
And people dont get that if you reduce taxes, the income generated by the population to share amongst each other, for services needed, like roads, bridges, social safety nets, and so on, if you reduce those taxes, that income, the States, the community you life in, will collect that money in other ways. They will have to collect it, because the people who voted for having all those services demolished, will also be the people first in line asking for them.
So they end up paying for it out of their own pockets unless we all go back driving on dirt roads and not water in our pipes.
There should be a citizen test - a political IQ test before you’re allowed to vote.
If you have no clue of what’s happening, or enough historical knowledge of what happened during your lifetime and its consequences, you’re not allowed to vote. If you vote for a criminal Gameshow Host, that alone should disqualify you.

@leafyrox

I'm tired of all the blatant corruption.

@chriss6716

Keep teaching. Your bigger audience of students is out their watching you, young and old, Dem, Repub and Independents. Knowledge is power.

@genosmiles

Robert, you mentioned glancing at yourself as a passing reflection on shopfront glass. It struck you as an old man walking with a group of vibrant youth. As you know, the younger ones among us need your world-renowned insights to help guide them through this harrowing time in American History.

@bettyjean1872

I listen every Saturday thank you to both of you! Fighting for Democracy isn’t easy but
listening gives me clarity & hope!🎉❤

@carolineasebrook6643

I was a foster mother for years. All the children were on Medicaid. Some with special medical needs. I adopted a baby through the foster care system. I had him from birth and adopted when he was two. He was on Medicaid the whole time. I was so fortunate my pediatrician took my foster children for all their shots and medical needs. This is breaking my heart!!!

@Erigar-h2f

Those students are so fortunate to have had Robert Reich as a professor.

@triciapalton5843

"Education and democracy are two sides of the same coin." If only more people realized this, our country would be a better place!

@Tracy-tm9ew

The documentary clip was so uplifting. Robert is the educator and leader we all long for. Thank you!

@monicaberlin1901

Robert is a national treasure. I'm sure Berkeley is sad to see him go.

@dawnshort8987

We're currently existing in the stupidest dimension of space and time: trump's kingdumb.

@debbiebaddeley6159

Thank you Robert for all you do for us on this channel.

@joeallison9322

Two glimmers of hope: (1) SCOTUS ruling that anyone (citizen or not) must have due process before deportation. (2) Congressional Budget Committee's failure to vote budget out because conservatives won't approve a huge run-up in debt. We've needed action for so long. Even half-hearted action is better than none.
