Thanks Lon …. You always provide interesting Synology and Plex topics!
I have a QNAP NAS, but your video makes me want to try Docker out for myself. I think the process might be fairly similar. Thanks for the how-to! ~Frank
I think if the image was identified as wallabag/wallabag:latest in your compose file, when you run a rebuild it would pull the new image. I think the latest is pulled if no version of specified but then no updates would be made since 'a' version is already present. I haven't used docker on Synology though, just docker suite running on Ubuntu. But great timing, my father has a synology nas and there are some things I can immediately think of that could be installed as docker containers that would automate things he does manually or replace more cumbersome applications he uses. I think this will be a great ref for him. I, and my father, also have found your ATSC3 tuner series very interesting as he's thinking of trying to pick up local HD/4k broadcasts and you spell it all out along with some good things to look out for (like antenna height and tree cover.)
I was really encouraged to see your video Lon. But, after watching you edit that yaml file, I pretty much gave up hope. For far too many of us that don't have the knowledge that you and many of your commenters have, far too many Docker apps will remain out of reach. I do appreciate the video though.
Lon, Thank you very much!
Love the content keep it coming
I just received a message from ADTH my next gen TV tuner will arrive Thursday. Hopefully you can try one out on you're channel.
Keep up the great work
Strange thing is, I was told that the Celeron in the DS218+ (I have one too) won't support more than 8gb of RAM, but mine's humming along happily with 16gb.
Wallabag would be great but the app hasn't been updated since Jun 18th 2021 and is not available for my device because the app was made for older versions of Android :( anybody have any other Conatiners that are like wallabag with a up 2 date app?
Very nice tutorials, thanks for sharing!!!
I can't run windows in my container manager. It unexpectedly terminated everytime I import image from registry. Any video guide on how to run windows 11 from docker?
You didn't have to rebuilt anything, when you change an environment variable, all you have to do is restart the container.
What memory did you install on your DS218+ to get it up to 16GB? I just got me a DS224+ and even though it officially maxes at 6GB, I would like to know which ram stick so I can give it a shot
The new feature of the DSM 7.2 as you have update available on your docker images and my clicking it update it with ease
Is something similar to Evernote available in docker form?
Lon, have you heard much about the sandisk external ssds failing since they're are owned by western digital? The sandisk extreme portable are failing and deleting data from there ssds and the same thing has happened with western digital hard drives so I'm not suprised that the sandisk ssds fail because they are owned by western digital.
My Wallabag-db-1 is giving me warnings 1. "[Warning] mariadbd: io_uring_queue_init() failed with ENOSYS: check seccomp filters, and the kernel version (newer than 5.1 required)" 2. "[Warning] InnoDB: liburing disabled: falling back to innodb_use_native_aio=OFF" Note: no SQL experience
