@jimboslam

Spent many hours riding in a chinook in the states and in Afghanistan.
I was always looking forward to the ride from our main base in Afghanistan to the outpost outside of Lashkar-Gah. Was about a 20 minute flight and the naps we're incredible.

@Atreyos326

Bro actually forgot why nobody wants to replace the chinook πŸ’€

The rear end of the CH-47 looks like semi perfect Cell. Once you see it you'll never be able to unsee it.

@SalSavia-y7x

Miss my old office ! 67U do it all !!

@LiterallyRyanGosling-p8b

OK, great... so why does nobody want to replace the Chinook?

@keithprinn720

reliability and capability essential for use across fifty years and later choppers just havent matched them or come close to being better. The Vietnam choppers just brilliant and yes some more fancy later attack choppers and providing weaponry and later tech but for utility and logistics Hueys and chooks vital. Australia bought rebuilt chooks and has faced numerous other disastrous helicopter projects. The capability of the chooks vital in the sandpits.

@sharpshooter13ify

Somehow I think they are trying to make a variant that can lift MBTs

@JH_789

No one has a problem replacing the Chinook. However, they do want it to be replaced with something superior, which is difficult.

@Bow-And-Arroww

The cargobob

@testtn

Haha it's a lightweight compared to our comrades whirly birdies

@atomicskull6405

There's no reason to replace it because they got it right already, they just keep updating the design and making more becayse if you designed a brand new tandem helicopter it wouldn't be an improvement and now you have to spend another 20 years shaking the bugs out.
