I mean, he is right, i could design my own box with lights, colors and connect a cheap remote, and definetly, programming and do these kind of things its cool and awesome.
Anbernic devices are also good if you want a handheld instead of a console
Actually I just bought one of these for $50 with 40,000 games all rdy to go with 2 pre configured controllers. Pretty hard to compete with that. I used to buy raspberry pis but you have to download all the games and configure everything plus buy all the cables for the pi and extra controllers almost x3 the price and x3 the effort
Agreed but people don't want to spend time installing software and finding ROMs and dont know better.
Sounds super easy but some people arent tech savy or dont have the time to do it
btw you can use the Rpi as a desktop too
The rpi zero 2 is pretty good it runs ps1 (the one with no 3d yet) perfect and even n64 is playable on that thing(but the sound is at bit choppy with n64
Retropie and raspberry Pi is very good for retro gaming
He’s actually right though…you can get better performance out of a Raspberri Pi, and you get to set up your own theme skins too The Retro sticks they sell have limitations when it comes to performance
Good luck finding one for less than 2x price from scalpers
Agreed my uncle
Ngl you're better off buying an office pc and saving up for other things for it or just save up for a pc
And it'll only cost you four times as much. The argument is that you spend more and get better, but.. the Pi 5 isn't all that great when you consider you COULD have spent four times as much and bought a gaming PC instead of that Pi/case/USB Drive/SD Card/Gamepadsx2/Power supply setup. Or ya know twice as much and got a nice N100 setup. These "Don't waste your money" clowns, just assuming there's an endless well of cash to play with. And if you do have throwaway money, why settle for a Pi?
I have that one. It absolutely is garbage.
Or just buy the original console
dude i’m not gonna buy that i’m not dumb
Idk how to download dat shi
Retropi is ok, but lakka is better imo
