I think it's release dates. Like, the rose is for valentines, the regular flower is for spring, the sun is for summer, and the calendar is just a way to tell us it's a date. Just my theory.

I’d love a weather update. Maybe rain could multiply crop growth speeds. Adding windy weather that might increase the effectiveness of wind charges, and prevent bees from leaving their nest could be cool. Maybe an Overcast weather that doesn’t rain, but allows certain mobs to spawn? Snow could have variations of these effects that do the opposite of each! Anything at this point. Weather is literally just a visual inconvenience as it currently stands. Especially now that lightning can be outright ignored.

It's easy. Flowers is spring. Sun is summer. So an update is roughly scheduled between summer and spring probably closer to end of spring.

Mooblooms would be actually a nice addition to Minecraft. Imagine if there are variations for each biome, and that players can use bottles to take honey from them.

Pretty sure they are just saying the next update will come out in the spring (flowers) or summer (sun) with the calendar just there to say when. Makes sense because if there are two Minecraft lives, one would need to be in April to be six months from the October one, and the update would release likely in June which is when spring goes to summer. Could also just be four random emojis to mess with us
