Damn. This is better and more informative than every other KCD2 combat video I’ve watched. Well done, sir.
Man - I have been trying to find something like this all over the place. You are right: Everyone is just saying the same crap. The worst are those who say "use Master Strike" or "Use Feint" and then I find out the way they tell folks to do those moves are using the wrong button or wrong sequence of inputs. KCD2 being my favorite game of all time now, this is the kind of stuff I want to know for my additional playthroughs. Thank you, @swolebenji
people overcomplicate this game way to much. Instead of blocking and doing all this sorcery simply dodge strikes with SPACE + A/D and hit them from the side. No weapon dmg everybody dies in 2/3 hits with the right weapons. 100% agree on axes. Way over-tuned right now with double dmg perfect vs armored and unarmored opponents just need more strength
Excellent video. I completely agree with the negative opinion of other 'how to... combat' videos for this game. Funny enough I wrote a sarcastic breakdown of all that they recommend in replying to someone that's newish to the game that streamed their first few hours. Unfortunately like a lot of new players to the franchise it's not made clear that this game, while an RPG, is more based on survival game mechanics and gameplay loops than the trailers and (so far!) all but one review cares to inform people. I've just doubled the amount of enemy I've killed, having just found out how close I've been to my favourite weapon from the first game, the Cumin bow. I had no idea there was an extension to the Nomad camp. I'm still pretty early on in the game myself, and being strict about building up skills and abilities, then a ton of money, I've barely touched anything. But having that bow now gives me the confidence to go anywhere and take on anyone. The confidence I'd have if I was walking about with a suppressed SMG or assault rifle in this game! Tonight the KC Deliverance just massively improved. I didn't do many missions with the first game actually, and barely touched any of the weapons outside of bows. But I'm extremely pleased that the weapon I had decided to use (literally only having handful of kills before moving onto this sequel) was the mace. Not a difficult choice for me, as it happens, because I genuinely dislike swords. So I'm pleased I seemed to have chosen wisely with that. I've not yet put into action the fighting technique in this video, but I'll also grab that black one off of the AI that's shown towards the end of the video now too. Good to see a genuine hardcore player make some videos for this game. I feel confident in the recommendations, and I appreciate the thought and analysis that's clearly informed the weapon choice to find the best method to slaughter AI! With the way they've been speaking to me throughout the game I'm inspired to create a separate save and slaughter every AI in the map (except the old woman and her daughter, and young woman who first speaks to you after the initial start, and maybe the blacksmith, as these the only people who have actually been nice!). I built up bow skills at the place where apparently a lot of people seem to think is best, even though I knew of the competition place, and one of the few kills I have done so far is the competition bowman by the castle. I wanted his bow, having assumed it would be half decent, and I wasn't convinced he'd hand it over if I asked him nicely so I let him go out in style with some arrow poking out of his head. It'll be interesting to see if he respawns, as pretty much everything else seems to in this game. Anyway, the advantage of that set of targets everyone goes to, is you can start to move further away as you gain confidence and your bow skills improve. The competition pretty much fixes you to one position, although I get the point about not needing to retrieve arrows, and I do appreciate that the targets are actually a bit of a distance from you. Anyway, long story short, excellent video, full of really good advice, from a gamer with an attitude I appreciate.
bonus point for the max pain comparison
I haven't even made it to the first castle yet and I'm op with very little exploits. Mostly just ran around learning as much as possible like a fat kid wait for the new Little Debbie cake to drop. Just pure excitement for the game. So good!
Thanks!
This is one of the best guides so far. You are doing really great work! Thanks. I must admit i do put poison on all my weapons. Henry Bane or Henry lullaby. I think it really helps and has no negative aspects ( unless you are an npc 😊 ). What are your thoughts on poison ( anyone)?
Great video. Learned more than I expected. Theres about to be a bunch of dizzy Henrys.
I laughed out loud at the Gypsy camp. Nicely done.
Actual useful infomation instead of those wiki reading videos there
Thank you for the guide! Your testing and examples were great!
Mutts like, put me in the game coach!
TBV is that skill we've gained paying any attention to current events......sure enough, translates to RPGaming in 2025.
Still think when fighting non armored fainting is best.Maybe clinching for armor enemies.
Ok perfect
keep getting stuck auto running. what do you press to close the menu?
Enemies? I can't defeat a wolf or even a dog. Totally digging it though
