@ToughLuck-yi6sr

At least this gives Pixar’s Elio the guarantee of IMAX screens in the U.S. now since Odeon UK is saying Elio will come out in IMAX over there

@JustinGrant-jf5gv

In this current age of cinema, original films are going to need all the money they can get.

@LamationsakaThatDude

At least it wasn't a MASSIVE delay.

@danielgudinojuarez6729

We need to support Elio even if the reviews are mixed like Ruby Gillman or Under The Broad walk, original movies are in need of help than sequels

@mayracordero382

I can wait for elio to come later and this'll be a good pixar movie.

@shadoward1051

I’m glad Pixar made this right decision not to go head to head with their rival DreamWorks

@ajerjavec4723

Considering that the 2 sequel Disney release last year made more money then original movies that both Disney and Pixar made them wanting to give their next original project. Some briefing room is fair.

@ClarkTheGamer-gg6ko

So that makes sense

@Starwarsfanboy0928

Honestly, that's actually for the best, that way people won't have to choose that weekend. Besides, Pixar usually have a June release in either the second or third week of the month, so isn't that big of a deal.

@justinriley

For the best, really.

@mightyfilm

I love how everyone whines about how everything is legacy sequels or remakes or IP and then they DON'T check out an original (or as original as it can get with thousands of years of storytelling) film. If there's a real problem it's Hollywood's content problem. Giving everyone a rapid-fire barrage of content that all have to succeed both in and out of streaming. That was Disney's problem in 2023. They released so many movies in such a short period of time, none of them could find success. 2024, their IP had room to breathe, and they were all moderately successful. This is a smart move, no doubt. It just matters if the public wants a film they already saw but more expensive, or Pixar not doing a sequel.

@devinsauls3568

Disney's actually making a smart move?! 😱 INCONCEIVABLE!

@BrennySpain

This was definitely a good move I think. Very surprising at best, but it makes a lot of sense. I think the live-action how to train your dragon will make a ton of money at the box office even if it turns out average at best. They’re a lot of nostalgic for the original animated movie trilogy. I’m still going to watch both regardless.

@ewoklord-726

Oh, man. You had me with the title and thumbnail. Thank GOODNESS it's only a week, I don't know if I'd have been able to take another hit like the first one...

@maldon3659

I find it funny that they moved the date to get away from How To Train Your Dragon only for the film to come out on the same day as 28 Years Later, a sequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later

@joshuaW5621

Oh no, please don’t tell me Disney is encouraging the How to Train Your Dragon remake.

@Megatheobjectshowguy1

At least is wasn't a whole year and a bit am I right?
Also can't wait for this to be the comeback of Disney

@Scrat351

One question: did you heard of a upcoming animated movie called "Night of the Zoopocalypse"? Please let me know your thoughts and expectations to that movie!

@PABFDIF2025

Well, It Looks like Elio got delayed 2 times in a row.

@juanjoselunariveroll7700

Me alegra esa decisión es mejor para Elio y para Pixar y me alegra mucho para que asi sea un exito la película 💛💙❤️💚💜🧡
