Yay~! We're back to discussing Sleep :D I'm planning to use mini candy boost for my Abomasnow. He has ABB, so I can look forward to lots of eggs at level 60. But he has brave nature (+speed -exp) I have a great Espeon and Gardevoir for the Psychic event so I'm hoping that Munna and Musharna are good. I have a lv 40 BFS Wobbufett (the early days of Lapis were desperate before I had a BFS Meganium) but I'm expecting Raichu or Typhlosion to outperform it. I guess it depends on what benefits the Psychic types get. IMHO, they should have also introduced Abra along with Munna to round out the variety. I anticipate the cooking players suffering because the ingredient variety between psychic types is pitiful. Unova Tour I loved the battle pass, but the structure of the event was not FTP friendly whatsoever. You had to do so many raids to get both Kyurem forms and the catch rate felt very bad. iirc it was probably the normal catch rate but there were other activities to do and waiting around for the Kyurem to stay in the ball felt like a slog. (Though the pass popping up with "rank up" before the ball was finished shaking was nice! wish that was there all the time.) While I personally shelled out my stockpile of basic raid passes to be able to fuse both forms, I can see where players who only have their free daily raid pass or enough gym coins for 1 raid are left out. The Kyurem fusions are cool!! Niantic should have given out more free passes between both days to incentivize FTP players to keep playing on both days. A shiny boost would have been nice for this event. I caught a far few of shinies which was nice (and hatched a shiny Maractus) but they were still a small percentage of the total catches over the whole weekend. As an aside, on the second day of play there was a downpour of rain out of nowhere AND it started hailing. I live in California, so this is unusual. However, it was a fitting natural event to take photos of Kyurem in. xD Kyurem didn't mind the hail or my soaked shoes. Lucky Trinket: the trinket should not have a time limit goodnneessssss. I think it should have been like the Meltan Box or Postcard thing. A reusable item with a specific cooldown or qualification to use it. All of the people I want to trade with don't live near me :( I was able to find a trade to use it on (newer great friend traded me a G-Max Gengar that ended up being nearly perfect; 15/15/14 and I love him) but I hated feeling that scramble to get rid of it. I might have made a different trade choice if the expiration date wasn't there. Or maybe just held onto the trinket as a curiosity! A memento of the event to use one day in the far future. Gigantamax Starters: We all know that POGO players are superstitious, and a new trend was noticed last weekend when we were raiding for shinies. The CHILDREN had cracked shiny luck with G-Max raids. The adults attending only got a few in total but there were kids with iPads catching shiny G-Max back-to-back. I won't lie; I was jealous - I still don't have a single shiny G-Max Pokémon after participating in approximately 50 raids - but I'm happy that the little guys are having fun. Anyway, now we joke that we need a child to borrow our phone so a shiny will appear. xD TCG Pocket - Arceus is favoring me, and it feels suspicious. I have pulled 3 Immersive Arceus and his Gold Crown Rare (my second ever gold card), followed by the 2-star Glaceon. Immersive Palkia eludes me - I hope the devs let me trade an Immersive Arceus for an Immersive Palkia.

Yes, there was a menttion of a new mode to play in Sleep - at first in a Japanese Famitsu interview, but then also in the news within the app, when it was the big one that was talking about a lot of what to expect in a longer timeframe... around the time they were making the pokemon works transition official.

The lucky trinket for global was only 7 days not the 14 for LA so yours were both supposed to expire at the same time. A bit weird but I guess they just programmed a set expiration date for all lucky trinkets.

I might be part of the problem since I bought everything, but I think the reason most people are complaining is it seems like we are getting less while being charged more. The ticket for Kanto Tour with shiny Ditto/Mew was $12. The Sinnoh Tour ticket was $5 for shiny Shaymin, and regional shiny were boosted in eggs. Go Fests are usually $15 but come with boosted shiny rates, a new mythical debut, and extra special research to get things like more Necrozma fusion energy, etc. This tour had a $5 shiny Meloetta, $5 egg ticket, $5 raid ticket, and $15 Pass, so this was a $30 event if you wanted the full experience. I guess it's debatable if Victini and the lucky trinket were worth $15, but not offering any shiny boost or other benefits wasn't great. On a side note, I think they required way too many raids if you wanted enough energy to fuse both forms of Kyurem. You needed to do at least 20 raids. I know this wasn't technically a raid day, but they usually offer 5 free passes and 13 if you buy a ticket, but they just kept the limit at 2 free raid passes for all players. I can understand why some people thought they were getting squeezed. Especially if you get to 900 fusion energy, spent tons of money on passes and still don't have a Black/White Kyurem because you didn't get to the threshold.

Yup, going to Lapis for Psy week. Wanna try to get some fresh Ralts to evolve into Gallade (my Gardevoir department is filled). Really hope Munna gets a cool unique skill, cause it's literally the Dream World mascot!

The fact that so many people consider shiny hunting the most important thing in Pokemon Go tells me that there is something wrong. Maybe there isn't enough to do that people care about. And I know that a lot of people live for shiny hunting in the core games as well, but they still play the game itself and then shiny hunt in the post-game. It's not the only reason they play the games.

on the topic of holding on to hourglass. i have this same inner discussion conserning Hearthstone, wich i play since 2015. in Hearthstone, there is no free pack per day, all the packs must be bought by the ingame currency. I came to realise that hording gold for the next expansion was the way to go as i dont feel behind when the new set drops as i'm also opening packs and i can participate in the new archetypes brought by the new cards. i think in Pocket it can also apply.

The tours now feel like a half baked version of go fest and I agree with the free and paid versions of the tickets would make it way better because very few can go to any in person events

The expiry on the item is probably so there isn't more uncashed-in value among the player base when they sell to scopely. Then Scopely can sell them to you again. If they didn't have time limits then less of you would cash them in and have less incentive to buy more in future.

I get that they want the in person tours to be more enticing but even shinies aside I still miss how the first few were run. It was incredibly fun trying to complete the pokedex for those regions in one or two days and not having the roamers spawning was pretty lame.
