@TessaPeay

*if you have curly hair brushing your hair when it’s wet may not apply to you 🤍

@melodies9721

I have dry hair and if I wash it twice it becomes too dry. That's why I prefer washing it once.

@leleixqq

remember that this may work for your hair, and it may not. everyone hair is different. its not a "mistake" if it works for you.

@Ozboxa4

I have curly/wavy hair. I shampoo twice, on my roots and mids. Then I condition once, brushing it while wet and NOT putting it in my roots. Then I put it in a head towel, brush it and put the milkshake incredible milk treatment which smells amazing and works SOOOO well!

@anon0268

Do not emulsify on your hands. You’re wasting product. You’re supposed to emulsify it on your SCALP.
Tons of PROFESSIONAL hair stylists have made videos about this exact topic, and how these TikTok influencers give bad advice.

@giulia5002

just remembering people with curly hair: u need to brush your hair when its wet, if you brush your hair dry it will ruin everything

@kirakit3017

"Only shampoo it once"
Ah, I love it when people can't imagine that there are different hair structures which need different care.

@dezstarlight

Guys everyone’s hair is different, if you have curly (and it might apply to wavy too) you’re SUPPOSED to brush it wet

@ericasalazar7608

My wavy hair routine!

Step one: detangle (I like to detangle before my shower)
Step two: shampoo
Step three: shampoo again
Step four:conditioner (about five to ten min)
Step five: rinse (make sure there is no product left in hair)
Step six: blow dry
Step seven: put in protected hairstyle and a slick bonnet

💤🌙✨good night💤🌙

@DefoHannah

The fact that she told us not to do these things but did it anyway to herself just to show us 🤗🤗

@Jah_LEASE_yah

The biggest mistake you could make is assuming there are hard and fast rules that apply to all hair textures. combing while wet may be bad for people with thin straight hair but for thick curly hair not as much. For people with dry hair and scalp washing twice might dry it out more. Do what you know is best for your hair.

@bro1818qwe

Everyone has different hair types because underneath your hair is skin and we all have different skin types too. What works for her may not work for you. If you have curly hair then I recommend brushing your hair when it's wet. If you have super dry hair or dry flakey skin I recommend only washing once then use a hair mask and oils then rinse out.

@ur.fav.brunette7

I don’t know why but when I shampoo twice my hair gets oily a lot quicker

@sickickick

y'all. emulsifying your shampoo is a BIG NO NO. that was started on tiktok and took off when professionals literally talk about why it doesn't work.

when you emulsify your shampoo, you foam it up, making it DIFFICULT to reach your scalp by the time you lather it further in your hair. the entire point is to get the shampoo down to your scalp. foam does not do this practically, therefore leaving oils in your scalp and making your hair grow oilier, quicker.

DO NOT EMULSIFY YOUR SHAMPOO. you are meant to PRESS the liquid DOWN into your scalp. not foam it up, which defeats the entire point of shampoo reaching your scalp.

@GreenGoblin9

Girlie shampooed the ends of her hair for a video. Thank you for your service 🫡🫡

@flormatute925

For all of my curly hair people: ALWAYS BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN WET, BECAUSE IT WILL MESS UP YOUR CURLS (just remember that this might work for MOST curly hair types not all hair types are the same)

@Hiimme8

Double shampooing is not something you should do very consistently unless you have oily hair this can damage your hair because it becomes to strong it’s only necessary when your hair needs it I would say 2 times a week at max

@ToxicCHalo

Why is brushing hair when wet bad for straight hair? I have long hair and if I don’t brush it when wet it’s really hard to brush when dry.

@jennyjenks3806

No no don’t emulsify your shampoo. When it goes foamy on your head it means the oil is washed off. So just spread shampoo onto your scalp with your fingertips and rub it in, rinse out and do it again and it will be all foamy or more foamy because it’s clean. That’s also how you know your hair is clean by if you wash it and it goes foamy

@raminahermiz1383

i brush it wet and it gets rid of all the dead hair for me and prevents tangles
