"That completes my punchcard and I get a free Braxton." This. This is why we love your reviews.

@Afro-Futurism

My brother, as a man who doesn't like Voyager you make these episodes sound like the best Star Trek parody possible. I love it.

@John73John

"Relativity" reviewed on a day when a lot of us are visiting relatives. I like what you did there, Steve.

And regardless of what anyone tells me I choose to believe it was intentional.

@arielfelts9111

As a trans American your star trek content is getting me through these tough times. Thanks Steve, someday i hope im ding better financially and can help you out in return. Live long, and prosper. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป

@andyb1653

Braxton going crazy due to Janeway's f*ckups is my favorite thing about this arc.

"Let's just deal with this before my headache gets any worse" is an amazingly self-aware line, you gotta admit.

@Ire-mw9cc

Best thing about the episode is that they dont violate Janeways hairstyle continuity

@madvillainelle4009

I always had a soft spot for this episode. Its got camp, fun time travel stuff, and is a 7 focused story.

@alklazaris3741

I'm probably very much alone in this but I wished Seven wore a science uniform more often in the show.

@gravefiller4481

As a die-hard Star Trek fan who has watched every episode of every series multiple times, I love the fact that when I watch your reviews, you always show me things in every episode that I never noticed before. I appreciate the time and effort that you put into producing your videos, and I really enjoy watching them. Thank you for what you do! ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿพ

@captainpanda5533

Every time I see Bruce McGill, I'm brought back to Quantum Leap.

"Dr. Seven of Nine never returned home.'

@MalzraAirwynn

I love the reveal of the villain being driven mad by Janeway's repeated abuse of time travel. Beautiful idea even if the episode wasn't perfect. I like to think that by the end of the series when Janeway uses time travel to change the outcome these people have just decided 'screw it' and not correcting anything she does anymore.

@euansmith3699

Cool, Bruce McGill! Always a fun addition to any cast.

@amylaneio

Steve, thank you for treating this episode with kindness. With your general criticism of Voyager, time travel episodes, and Voyager time travel episodes, I was surprised at how relatively (get it? :P) positive your review was.

When I say I was OBSESSED with this episode back in the day, I cannot understate myself. These were the days of hand-coded frame-based LCARS websites being common in the Star Trek community, and I ran one that I was really proud of that was based on the Relativity's 29th-century TCARS (Time LCARS?) called Star Trek: Destiny. Sadly, that site has been lost to time (not even the Wayback machine has a working copy).

Watching this episode nowadays brings me back to the early days of the Star Trek online community before Youtube and Facebook groups, when we had to find each other in webrings, IRC channels, Usenet groups, and even BBSs. It's kind of ironic how this episode that is partly about making Voyager fans nostalgic for earlier episodes brings me the same kind of nostalgia for those times, too.

@xileets

Seven, the "Ideal straight man". Damn that's good. That is GOOD!

@V3ryan

I remember one conversation from this episode where younger Capt. Braxton is confused as to how the saboteur could be him. "This doesn't make sense, I didn't personally sabotage Voyager." Obviously the conversation was meant for us the viewers, but you'd think a captain of a Federation timeship would already understand how time travel works.

@RobertReed-r6z

My man Steve with the MacGyver reference!
Tricks me trade, me dear.
Tricks me trade.

@krbacon

This episode has always rated fairly highly for me within Voyager's offerings for Seven's little jaunt through time. Also served as an example that Seven should have been in blueshirt once joining the crew rather than that catsuit.

@FoldinBoxes

This review just reminds me of how much we need more Steve Shives MacGuyver reviews

@KassFireborn

Bruce McGill also had a single appearance in a particularly pivotal Babylon 5 episode, and had one of the best bloopers of the series:

Sheridan: "Where is General Hague?"
Major Ryan: "General Hague... is doing Deep Space Nine. It seems he was double booked by his agent and there is nothing to be done."

@heroloray

Good points about the episodeโ€™s comedic potential. The premise sounds like a great episode of Red Dwarf
