The fact Jim includes all of the yaml files is awesome, saves alot of time. Although, I had to tweak mine to store onto my unaspro. I also tested this fist manually creating the folders at each location and due to the unaspro being mounted as a cifs share, I had to store some config files ie the acme.json file, on the ubuntu vms home directory.
Therefore, I then made a bash script to create all these folders, the acme.json file, set the chmod permission and the docker proxy network. Mainly for ease when I rebuild my proxmox server so in future it I don't need to remember to manually create them or the docker proxy network.

Jim has made understanding the entire process very easy to understand. Keep up the good work

@harsumeetsinghjosan

You put of a lot of work behind this, really appreciate it. Your vides always pushed me to do more even though I am not an it person but still love everything you show and so much easy to setup

The best youtube channel ever. I love the detailed videos. Can you please create a short video to show how to add Authentik to Homepage?

@100msPingAdv

Thanks for the video James! Just finished your previous tutorial on setting up traefik. Going to work on this next. Keep up the good work!

@DigiDoc101

Another great video! Thank you. How stable is routing storage through wireguard tunnel? Considering Pangolin tun, have you taken a look?

@kaisersolo76

Jim, Here you're local deployment section is the VPS deployment version - would be great to see the local way?

@AlistairBrugsch

Trying to find the original gluetun vid you have referenced at 4:00
Has it been delisted? I've watched it a couple of times but now can't figure out something. Trying to get the stack to run on casaos but there's an issue with the network name...

@noriller

Not sure if more or less complex, but I created a VM where I installed my VPN provider and use that as the gateway for whatever other service I want to tunnel through the VPN.

For example Tailscale that you either use Mullvad or you need some other config, especially because it doesn't play well with VPNs... I just set a exit node without and another that has the gateway to the VPN VM and then I have tailscale -> my VPN or then tailscale -> my server ip.

Some VPNs have features that gluetun doesn't support and I found this easier and straightforward way to handle it.

Then again, I didn't had to deal with something like treffik in front and used a dumb bridge to connect it to my nas... so maybe I do have to give it a second look at the gluetun approach.

@ClayBellBrews

Nice; very comprehensive; I missed the trafik update, gonna have to check that one next. I would like to see you setup this in Komodo; and migrate it to k8s.

@andrewandme632

Thanks for another top video Jim

I'm new to using docker & use Proxmox.
Would you recommend creating a dedicated VM in Proxmox to then deploy Docker containers, or run Docker containers within Proxmox LXCs ?

@JakJar-r1b

Hello @Jims-Garage
could you tell me how to add other services to the stack?
There are quite a few of them in Github - but how to easily modify the yaml to fit this composition, because their structure is completely different.
someone already asked about this on discord - I think about portainer and valutwarden, but no one could answer...
ok 6:30 you yourself are talking about adding any services, but how ;)
regards

@iainmacneill2985

Thanks for putting this together, really helpful. Not sure if someone already mentioned it, but it appears you ran the docker-compose-VPS.yaml in the "Local Deployment" section. Did you intend to do that, or did you mean to run just the docker-compose.yaml file?

Otherwise, great video - got this stack up in no time.

@gswhite

Thanks Jim as always for a fantastic overview video.

Any chance you could deliver something around Graylog??
