I remember you saying in the last video that someone commented about your content being repetitive and this time you tried changing the genre. You are so hard working and creative. Love you for your aunthenticity. Also, just a reminder, your content is NOT Repetitive β€β€β€β€π₯°π₯°π₯°πππππ
Your dad driving you guys 1.5hrs away to learn Mandarin and stay connected to your mother tongue is so sweet to me. Im actually tearing up π₯Ήπ«ΆπΎ
I love how Yuan just jumped in and was all for your challenge, so sweet :)
This was such a fun video!! I always admired (and envied) the people I grew up with who spoke another language at home. I wasn't introduced to learning a second language until high school and that was such a struggle. I still struggle with learning other languages. I feel like it's so much more beneficial to learn multiple languages from a young age. Side note: I'm also going to be practicing how to say "go eat poop" in Cantonese haha
julia is our multilingual queeennnn β¨
Your cantonese is so good. HAHAH when you were describing your outfit
Smart way to prepare for a trip to China and made for an entertaining vlog. Thanks! I'm a big fan of Chinese dramas and sadly I finished "Nothing But You" today that I will miss. Totally recommend.
My family is from Taiwan so it's always so interesting to me hearing Mandarin from mainland China speakers -- you speak with a completely different accent from me and everyone I grew up speaking Mandarin with!
I looooved this vlog so much. I can definitely see your extroverted side when speaking Chinese, I feel like it is the more raw version of you coming through
this was so entertaining!! oddly satisfying to hear you speak chinese! π
hahah omg this is too cute of a video!! imma call you "julia ε°ε§β from now on π₯°π₯°
Hey Iβm from guangzhou toooooo!!! Nice and nostalgic to hear Cantonese here β€
Your mandarin and Cantonese is soo good. Itβs great you can speak both so fluently. I can only speak Cantonese
you said you speak 3rd grade mandarin but your accent and intonation etc. sound really natural!
Love Love this video!!! It is great that you are speaking Chinese. It shows how authentic you can be. Keep it up!!!!!!
I could understand some of what you were saying. I use to do work in China in early 2000 and had a book I carried everywhere. They helped and I helped them. Great vlog
For someone who grew up in the US, I think that your Chinese is very good. There is definitely a light American accent to your Cantonese, but it is mild compared to most people who didn't grow up in Hong Kong or Guangzhou. The Cantonese accent is notoriously hard to learn for non-natives.
I love watching your videos! Looking forward to watch more of your vblogs! Keep up the good work!
Ah, Julia you speak Cantonese too! Also, it's so cuteeee. omg, imagine we went to the same Mandarin Chinese school in Chinatown when we were little.. LOL
