Local first will gain in popularity as people want more private, app-like experiences from web applications, without sending all their data to be mined by LLMs. Could go well with small, language models that run on-device.

We already had it, now it's just more overt. It's just going to be more smaller variants people create personally or as a open source collective. The LLMs are already capped, tied to large corps, and questionably sourced. We're dialing it back.

I think for coding AI would fall a lot in coding and rise in other areas like code review and small features. Because it just cannot write code by itself and I think people would realise that. And writing normal code is much slower and more expensive than just thinking about it yourself.

More of the same. People flock to latest hype language, the scripting languages slowly tick towards strong types like they should have done from the start, js libraries crash the internet, c languages tick on. New c++ standard adds so many new features we rename language to c+++
