I am not Catholic but, like many others, I see Pope Leo as a leader of the world, not just one church. It's said that we learn by contrasts---what greater learning experience could we need than the contrast of Trump and Leo...for all of the reasons that you clearly have expressed!

Pope Leo is a Brilliant, highly gifted man. Deeply spiritual. Lived in North America, South America and Europe. Traveling extensively to 50 different countries. A Polygot eho speaks 7 languages. A bachelor degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, Masters in Theology, Doctorate in Cannon Law. A teacher, Missionary, Administrator, Governor, Diplomat.

Absolutely Prof.! Strength of character and clarity of thought are what make Leo XIV far superior to mediocre Starmer and other leaders. I have never liked popes nor even most catholic priests, but to hear this man go beyond dogma and talk in terms of supporting justice in order to get peace, is like music to my ears.

Rubio now declares that the Pope is not a political figure but a religious leader, which is a strange thing to say. You don't send an ambassador to a non-political entity, nor a secretary of state to negotiate with his counterpart in the Holy See. The US should decide whether it wants diplomatic relations with the Holy See or not. Sending an ambassador when the pope is against communism but declaring the papacy has no political power when the pope calls for respect for the human dignity of all people is a hypocritical thing to do.

It does seem as if Pope Leo is revealing himself to be an extraordinary individual - and a leader, as you so clearly describe. The sad part is, however, that for the most part, his actions and words seem to be lost under the deluge of Trump nonsense, except by the few who seek out information about what Leo is up to. Such is the media of today. Let's hope this changes. But I'm not holding my breath.

Thank you for your wisdom. I think the name you were reaching for is Carlo Acutis (1991-2006). Carlo & Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901-1925) are being canonized in 2025. I'm not Catholic, but I have huge respect, admiration & good will for Pope Leo XIV. I see so much disinformation already on YouTube (Not here, in other content), that I'm trying to confront the lies & bigotry against Catholics as I encounter it. Here in the USA we've had 350 arson (terrorist) attacks on Catholic churches over the past 5 years. Shocking & heartbreaking to me.
