@KL-un8sf

As an Australian our claim on Antarctica should be switched with the french one on your map

@nixielee

that world split from Spain/Portugal was peak hubris

@DinkemDolph

Your map of the 7 claimed territories across Antarctic is incorrect, you have Australia and France’s territories mixed up. Australia has the largest claim to Antarctica not the smallest

@HubboStuff

0:27 the map is wrong, the Australian and french claims are revered

@Cassandra03

The name Australia is derived from terra australis, meaning land in the south, Antarctica is the true terra australis therefore solve the problem by giving it all to Australia.

@ItsMeTheDante

4:38 As a Brazilian, a Claim Antarctica based on Tordesillas is ridiculous 😂
Even Uruguay was Brazilian before Chile was invented.
Just leave Antarctica quiet. Bunch of morons

@FVD1871

The mixup between the Australian and French claims is so blatant it’s ridiculous

@alwaysthesame98

The UK: Alright you win, the land is yours but i'll keep this tiny piece of ice next to your country just in case...

@A190xx

Ignoring the many inaccuracies in this video, the point is the dendants of Spanish conquistadors want to add to their conquered Argentinian territory.

And if one uses Argentina's, "ignore history - we are closest", then Chile's land mass is slightly closer than Argentina's land mass. As indeed Chile is also closer to Tierra Del Fuego.

@SheppardOfNumenor

I am outraged Canada does not have a claim on Antartica. We’re synonymous with cold frigid temperatures. Maybe with CANZUK that will change.

@kadz3597

Waiting till Trump will realise that huge chunk of Antarctica is not claimed by anybody

@jarman9031

The Antarctica territories map is wrong. The Australian and the French claims are switched. Do you guys just hate us in Australia?

@DanielGalimidi

0:30 "Whether you think of this or not, these pizza slices exist". Thanks, TLDR News. I was worried that pizza slices had stopped existing, but thanks to your top journalistic work I now know that they do.

@amirmohamad474az

Oh my gosh British and "territorial disputes", I never saw that coming.

@cybetica

I've watched a number of your videos involving maps and you need a better map designer, often countries are omitted from political blocs and now another issue here with flags and maps. Please get someone to double check each time, it casts a bad light on the rest of the otherwise informative content.

@Perrin-u7k

You have france and Australia claims mixed up

@souldotdog

6:15 I think the Aus and Fra flag are mixed up.

@janitoalevic

As a Chilean I want that part of the continent to be Chilean of course, it has legal roots on the 1539 Terra Australis Governorate from Spain, inherited to Chile.

@notdpanda9525

This video has a lot of errors, I would think it would be best to revaluate your fact checking process.

@Jordarnm

worrying about who's going to be in charge of parts of antarctica in 2048 feels really optimistic in a sense
