Dear reader, dont feel disheartened if you can't afford grass fed/ organic foods. Don't let that be the reason to not give this a go. Even if you can wash your fruits and vegetables in baking soda to kill of 90% of pesticides, that's a good start. I felt called to say this because I know that some people don't have that option. That's okay, remember the reason why you watched this video in the first place. Make small changes to what circumstances your in, know that even watching this video is your first step to being a healthier version of you and putting yourself first. I wish you so much health and happiness. Love, Unique Destiny ā¤
Hi, being a muslim with Ramadan ive seen the benefits. Usually struggle with headaches first few days and then find it difficult to start fasting again out of the month becomes so difficult. Now im sticking to fasting with water, coffee and tea which has helped to stay consistent. I now am doing between 20-23 hour a day fasting which has shown great results in a short period of time. I generally dont eat much but drank less on water. Ive changed that now. Also taking applecider vinegar. All these fasting videos has helped me to stay on track and discipline.
Make Pho broth (beef bone broth, cinnamon sticks, cardamons, charred gingers, charred onions, star anise, cloves). Add been sprouts, cinlatro, spring onions, jalapenos, beef slices and noodles to the finished broth. Super healthy food (minus the noodles)
I understand that organic chicken is the best option, but sometimes we do buy a roast chicken from the store. When we do, I carve it up for meals. And put all of bones/carcass to simmer for hours, with a bay leaf. (If you love Pho broth, add a couple of star anise). After several hours, 4-8, I remove the bones and refrigerate covered, overnight. When I check it hours later, it always has that rich gelatinous texture. (Which means, you can still get the bone broth content out of a roasted (not raw) chicken. It is one more way to get the most bang for the buck with food.
She's so good, because I was literally about to click out of the video when she mentioned bone broth, but then she immediately said, "And vegans, don't click off, because I'm going to get to a vegan version." Good job of anticipating what your audience is thinking! :)
Asians have been drinking bone broth / soups (medicinal or not) for centuries...! The Chinese always have to have a bowl of soup to 'open up' your appetite before meals. The Vietnamese and Japanese have delicious pho and ramen - made from beef and pork bones.. So is Koreans, etc.. Thanks for highlighting this Dr. Mindy - it's one of the best and delicious healthy form of food.
I love these long videos to keep me company on my walks and workouts
I just broke a 62 hour fast, and have only eaten protein foods since. I am learning so much and getting healthier šš¾
Since watching your videos I have been making and drinking bone both daily. The first thing people comment on is how radiant my skin looks. It truely works. Thank you ā¤
As chinese, I cook bone broth every day. It's a must have dish.
Doing a weekly 60-hr fast followed by intermittent fasting throughout the week and limiting white flour foods really moved the needle for me
Am on my second day intermediate fasting all the credit goes to u
I was plagued by restless legs even though I was making sure I got plenty of potassium, then I discovered that rubbing magnesium oil on my legs got rid of it within a few minutes. I now make sure I'm eating plenty of magnesium rich foods.
Although I'm Asian and my mom used to make bone broth, I prefer just eating gelatin sweetened only with berries and other fruit rich in Vit. C and polyphenols (homemade gelatin jello is glycine-rich and collagen-rich without the extra fat)
Food for thought... Some thyroid challenged folks can experience inflammation from Greek Yogurt...so best to monitor by process of elimination and to consider steering toward other means of protein.
Thanks i have been in a rut and you helped me recommit. When i listen to your videos its like having a.cheerleader on my side and gives me strength to keep going

I'm anemic with PCOS and in my 40s, good times! I'm going to start this regimen ASAP. Thank you for teaching not only what to do, but also why it should be done.
Top those 5 scrambled eggs with a very generous coating of nutritional yeast for some more grams of protein, and great flavor!
