@PsilocybeJedi

I work long 11 hour days. My favorite part of the day is coming home and turning on your newest video to help get me in the mood for spending the rest of my short time in the day reading. Thanks for all you do Mike!

@PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy

It’s fantastic to hear you’re enjoying The Last Kingdom, Mike! The Quilluminati are on a roll!

@Shelf-Esteem

My favorite time of the week - Mike's weekly update time!! Thanks so much for the shoutout my friend, and for the FANTASTIC chat yesterday! I had such a blast, and it was a privilege talking all things books, music, adaptation with you - def felt like we could have chatted for hours haha :) Am hoping to read The Last Kingdom before the Quiluminati discussion, fingers crossed! Hope you have fabulous week ahead Mike! :)

@steelepartridge6954

Bernard Cornwell has an amazing non-fiction book about Napoleon’s last battle at Waterloo. Reads almost like a thriller, highly recommend it.

@GenuinelyCurious120

You got me obsessed with John Gwynne. Halfway through Wrath. I fucking love this series. I'm just gonna dive right into the rest of his stuff. Thanks Mike!

@esmayrosalyne

Really looking forward to the upcoming quilluminati discussion, glad to hear you are feeling optimistic about it so far!! Happy reading ;)

@jcwoodman5285

Bernard Cornwell is probably my favorite author for large/major battle descriptions.
His Sharpe's Rifles novels are classics!
Another of my all time battle writers? Robert Jordan. That guy wrote some fine calvary battles...
Honorable mention- R Scott Baker😊

@skywalker80316

Always love your weekly update! I finished The Last Kingdom and have started Wolves of the Calla. Really enjoying The Dark Tower!

@the_flushjackson

Easy subscription— love your content. Thanks for the effort you put into your channel, your enthusiasm is contagious

@victormossiii1196

I picked up the "The Last Kingdom" audiobook on Barnes and Noble Nook for $4.99. I will be collecting the whole series. I started watching The Last Kindom series, as well! If The Last Kingdom goes well for the Quilluminati, I would love to see you continue the series and review it!!!

@TheNerdyNarrative

I always laugh a little to myself anytime I watch someone who's reading The Last Kingdom. I remember firing up the first episode on Netflix to give it a try and was just sort of half paying attention until Young Uhtred was taken by the Danes, knocked off the horse into the river and came up as Alexander Draymon....and I was IN 🤣

@kristen7623

Your spoiler talks were actually the best for me for jogging my memory…I tried a lot of genuine recaps and they were too rapid and emotionless to stick in the way I needed it to

@jrnyman0812

Hiya Mike,

Kind Regards
 Jrnyman☕👍

@louisblackforester

For me the best portrayals of Napoleon on screen is Ian Holm in Time Bandits and Terry Camilleri in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

@VanessaT0213

i loved the last kingdom show too, been eying the book but after your last vid i ordered the 1st 6 books as a bundle sale on amazon this weekend

@Craig-sv2bp

If you're a fan of Follett, Cornwel, and Clavell, If you have the time, try to give Wilbur Smith's "When the Lion Feeds" a go. That book blew me away.

@leocrino5144

You should do a best historical fiction list, I read lonesome dove and GWTW because of you and loved them both. I love Ken Follett too so I’d love to get some more historical fic recs from you

@momo_genX

Didn't know you were a music major. So was I. Cool.

@kingzzz6509

You make me excited to try The Last Kingdom, the book and show.
Last week the only thing I finished was The Masquerade of the Red Death by Edgar Allan Poe. His prose are so good.
I’m hopping between The Hunger of the Gods by John Gwynne. I don’t love Bloodsworn as much as Of Blood and Bone, and not nearly as much as The Faithful and the Fallen, but I’m interested in the way it’s going.
The other book I’m working on is The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I’m not gonna lie, I think I’m having trouble putting it down. Haha
The story’s so interesting and the characters are very compelling. I already really like Kaladan, Shallan and Syl. I’m only 15% of the way through the book so I haven’t gotten to Dalinar or Adolin but I’m sure I’ll like them. I’m also very interested in Szeth even though he’s had very little page-time.

@Arizonafrog97

Mike, you should try some of Follett’s spy thrillers and see what you think - Eye of the Needle, Man from St Petersburg, and Key to Rebecca are all great!
