The lack of features when using LP-E6NH batteries on the R5ii is unacceptable. The fact that there is no wifi, no app connectivity , no 24p, no 60p, and no 120p 4k when all of these features were on the original R5 with the same battery makes no sense and all seem like artificial limitations.
I got SO MUCH HATE in my initial R5ii review for saying it was unacceptable for Canon to limit the R5ii to 30fps. I had dumb comments like "it needs more power which is why it has a new battery" "just buy new batteries" "how does someone afford a $4000 camera but cant afford new batteries" "here we go another dumb person that doesnt understand battery voltage" like BRO HOW WAS 30fps and NOT 24 available...
FYI - the R5 Mk ii will not shoot in high speed shutter with the legacy battery. It drops way down lower than the R5 with the standard battery. You get the missing features message and then the shutter speed indicator will blink until you lower it and then it still shoots lower than the R5.
6:40 - And THERE IT IS, folks! ERROR 70! Both my brand new R6 mk1 bodies died at the very first wedding of Error 70. So I totall y ditched Canon after 26 years and moved to Sony, with two A7IV and three A7C. Sony are WAY BETTER!!
Cant belive the subaru joke mad eit into fix
I wonder how many people caught on to The Fifth Element joke.
At some point I would really like to see Tamron 90mm and Sigma 105mm Macro lenses to RF mount.
Not the Subaru ππ
That anyone is paying that much money for a Leica is beyond comprehension
Just like they promised to fix the Touch Bar on my EOS Rand give it new features. Canon is good at fixing things when a body is initially released, and then they ghost you worse than your waitress at a franchise restaurant on a Saturday night.
I've had the older Tamron 90mm macro on my Nikon D300. But the autofocus was terrible. Hope this one will be better. But manual focus is always an option. Price vs quality is awesome. My wife has the tamron 28-75 f/2.8 on her Sony a7iv and the focus, quality etc is unbeatable for the second hand price of β¬460
I wonβt get this camera then! Which one should I get for portrait/event photography do you guys think? Thx
Getting into Macro I am not happy that Canon does not allow focus bracketing with the mechanical shutter with a flash. Big companies like Sony and Olympus allow this on their cameras. Iβm hoping Canon adds this to a future software update

Very excited about the Tamron 90mm Macro, wonder how it'll stack up against the Sony one, seeing as that's one of the sharpest lenses *ever*.
Missing from this firmware list is that the R7 was updated as well. 1.60 8:08
@jared - will you do a menu walkthrough like you did for the R5 for the MKII - would be amazing. No one needs the manual when you this
Lot of inside jokes in this episode π
I bet Canon still won't let you shoot pre-capture with the old batteries, that will still be a firmware block
