@WxChasing

Hi, here is a fundraiser we are helping to support, please check it out! https://www.gofundme.com/f/carriacou-strong-hurricane-relief?

@mattyjamesgallagher

I was a Peace Corps Volunteer on Carriacou from 1998-2000. Thank you for giving us all an inside view of the hurricane. The people of Carriacou are friendly, happy, and love living the good life. I hope everyone in Carriacou comes out of this alive and that their intrepid spirit to rebuild and help others remains intact.

@dreams2reality410

I have lived in Florida for close to 40 yrs. Have been through several hurricanes in my lifetime. With a few of them being category 3 and 4. Have experienced gusts up to 140 to 150 mph and never lost a palm tree. To see palm trees snap like twigs is unbelievable. Palm trees have evolved to withstand storms just like this. They are very flexible and usually will shed their palms but be left standing. For them to be broken and pulled out of the ground shows you just how powerful this storm really was. What an amazing video. My prayers are with the people.

@donnamarsh3474

This is the only live coverage I've seen. Incredibly strong storm! This deserves a journalism award! You are very brave.

@clevtb6775

Here in Jamaica watching this as we were informed the hurricane is on it's way to visit us. I hope everyone is safe. Thanks for sharing this awesome video.

@melaniemarquez4610

Yall take care. Your lives are more important than a video. Remember that, but thank you for showing us what's going on

@FrancesHarvey-v9x

Grenada, Carriacou πŸ‡¬πŸ‡© you will rise above this. Praying no lives lost. I saw my beautiful island of Dominica πŸ‡©πŸ‡² destroyed by Maria, but us islanders are resilient and naturally bounce back stronger. So shall this pass. πŸ™πŸΎ

@camillesanderson8417

Praying that no lives are lost... May God protect us all, praying for all my Caribbean neighbours and my home island of Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

@PecosHank

Brandon... You ROCK! Well done friend.

@kiwipear70

This is why we build our houses out of CONCRETE and not drywall, here in the caribbean. These houses would have been completely gone otherwise, which tends to be the case when I see these storms reaching the US at any sort of strength.

Hoping for a smooth and speedy recovery for the people of Carriacou, and all surrounding islands πŸ™β€οΈ

@shesh4896

I’ve been in a number of hurricanes but this . . Is another level. Prayers to every one.

πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ from Trinidad and Tobago πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ή. We where spared heavy damage but I feel it for the people of Grenada

@MadeNCda

My God. That was terrifying. I appreciate you filming this, though, because unless you live through it, it is hard to even grasp the sheer strength of those winds. 😒

@renamoorley6753

From Trinidad and Tobago we were spared from this strong, terrifying hurricane. My heart go out to you Grenada. I want you guys to get the best of assistance ASAβ€πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

@alexlefevre3555

I think what got me the most were those very specific sounds of sheet metal bending. If you can hear it over that wind, the amount of force is just incredible.

I'm glad you are safe, and I hope the absolute best for the kind people of this island.

@bentonroach9528

Outstanding footage! Thanks for not yelling and screaming. Stay safe. Thanks for uploading.

@debbie0813

Visited Carriacou for the 1st time in April. Beautiful people on the sister Isle❀
May God protect everyone πŸ™ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡© πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

@emmaaguila4502
