2024 was such a great Hallmark year. The standouts for me were: TV: - The Way Home: Season 2 - When Calls The Heart: Season 11 (please give Lucas a fitting love interest! Maybe a new nurse coming to work with Faith or give Faith a sister ala Natalie Hall perhaps...I'm still hoping Carson can come back as well and give those two their happy ending). - Mistletoe Murders: Season 1. This was my favorite thing about Countdown to Christmas this year. Hopefully we get a season 2! And I hope this show starts a trend of Christmas themed murder mysteries from the already existing murder mysteries ala Hannah Swensen, Curious Caterer and Jane. - Holidaze (honestly it felt a bit cluttered at first but as the stories processed and started to focus on each family and fell into a rhythm I found myself throughly enjoying it.) MYSTERIES: - Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters. - True Justice: Family Ties - Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers - Crimes of Fashion: Killer Clutch - Hannah Swensen Mysteries: One Bad Apple and a Sprinkle of Deceit - Curious Caterer Mysteries: Foiled Plans and Forbidden Fruit - Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home - Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder - Jazz Ramsey: A K-9 Mystery - The Jane Mysteries: A Deadly Prescription, Murder at Moseby and Too Much to Lose So happy we got a new SS&D! I am so happy this series returned. Praying for new movies in 2025. Also thrilled that we have continous series' in Hannah Swensen, Curious Caterer and Jane. As for the new ones listed above - I hope we get continuations as well. And speaking of continuations I would love 2023's Haunted Harmony Mysteries to continue as well. MOVIES: - A Scottish Love Scheme - Betty’s Bad Luck in Love - Paging Mr. Darcy I did love the concept of Loveuary's Austen theme. Hoping for an Agatha Christie October in 2025. - An Easter Bloom - Blind Date Book Club - Legend of the Lost Locket - Falling in Love in Niagara - A Whitewater Romance - Savoring Paris (my favorite 2024 destination movie) - A Greek Recipe for Romance - A Costa Rican Wedding - Operation Nutcracker (the best of Christmas in July) - The Heiress and the Handyman - Autumn at Apple Hill. (I need an engagement movie! I want a Christmas at Apple Hill). - Holiday Crashers - The Christmas Charade (the comedy of this!) - My Sweet Austrian Christmas (the aesthetic) - A Carol for Two (loved the ode to Theatre here. Also the chemistry was in my top 3 for countdown to Christmas) - T'is The Season To Be Irish - A Reason for the Season (we got our girl Taylor Cole back!) - Jingle Bell Run - To Have And To Holiday (I want to live in Everly) - Debbie Macomber's Joyful Mrs. Miracle (this movie was top tier! This was my favorite Hallmark Christmas 2024 movie.) - Believe in Christmas (chemistry was in my top 3 for countdown to Christmas. Rightly so. Also the decor and that town!) - Holiday Touchdown: A Chief's Love Story (so fun!) - A Dance in the Snow (as an aunt with a neice on the spectrum -- this movie was a gem) - All I Need For Christmas - The Finnish Line (that last little bit of The Finnish Line. If you know you know. That was high stakes. So good.) - Leah's Perfect Gift - Hanukkah on the Rocks (this was my favorite Hanukkah movie yet!) - Following Yonder Star - Trading up for Christmas Sidenote: - Lacey wins for best Christmas dress with that gorgeous dark blue gown in The Christmas Quest - Daniel Lissing & Erin Krakow still got it! Their chemistry was in my top 3 for countdown to Christmas. - I also, loved seeing our favorite Hallmark stars cameo in fleeting moments in different Hallmark movies throughout the year. Especially in Sugarplummed. Such a treat. Also, speaking of Sugarplummed -- I need that Fiona Gubelmann/Victor Webster movie to be a reality! - We need a Sarah Power and Peter Mooney Christmas movie next please! - And yes! The Sound of Music is a Christmas movie!!!! I finally felt seen. Lol. - Also, can we please get a new When Calls The Heart Christmas movie! Maybe Nathan and Elizabeth's wedding can take place at Christmas. And lastly, I cannot speak for the below as Canada never got them: - An Ice Palace Romance - Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement - Love on the Danube series: 1. Love Song 2. Royal Getaway 3.
