I like how Troy will talk about how cool and awesome a track is for like 20 full seconds only for him to put it in D tier
I was literally about to go to to bed as it’s 10:30pm GMT now, but now I can stay up for 39 more minutes lol
Piranha plant slide is like that kid in high school that's good at every subject. Consistently solid, sometimes so much that you forget about it. I love how it resembles 1-2 of super mario bros
We absolutely NEED a part 2! I had a ton of different personal rankings, but I loved hearing out your opinions on these! I definitely think you should spend a tiny bit more time covering some more details on the booster ones since most of them have a lot more detail than a lot of the base tracks, but this was still awesome to watch, and now I’m actually planning on making a ranking video as well on my main channel lol
Can't Wait For Sir Musty To React To This On His Next Stream
Finally someone else appreciates Wii U Rainbow Road
Imo superbell subway is the best track ever made. Great ending shortcut, great shallow shortcuts on most corners, variable terrain (trains), different paths that actually have uses (getting/avoiding items) which generally keep pace with the main track, places for great technical driving (tricking inside train/hanging off of the corners). If i could fault it for one thing the item box placement's a bit wierd but by no means bad and time trials is a better mode anyway lol.
Putting music park in D tier is criminal. In all seriousness Greg video, would love to see one for the booster course pass as well.
Mario kart 7 is pretty underrated. It had some bangers! Not to mention how STACKED the retro tracks are!
To me, MK8/MK8DX set up a standard that its Yoshi tracks are S tier for me. All 3 in this game are phenomenal.
Very solid tier list overall. I don't really disagree with most placements. Here are some things I would like to point out: You're actually so based for putting Mount Wario in B Tier. Most overrated track in the entire history of Mario Kart. The track starts sucking in the forest exactly like you said. Bone-Dry Dynes, while I completely agree that it's underrated, I think A Tier is too much. The major problem with this track is the unbalanced split path (the main path is useless), also reaching the top path from the glider feels extremely unsatisfying because of the alignment. Dry Dry Desert in A is the wildest take here. There is literally nothing going on. Shortcuts are cool but in this case they just make this track braindead to bag on. At least on most of the other bagging tracks there is strategy. Donut Plains 3 is a very RNG track: 2 item sets per lap and you usually skip one of them. Your race relies mostly on the shock. Good visual glow up from the original, but gameplay wise is pretty trash. Tick-Tock Clock, Grumble Volcano and Music Park deserve to be at least 1 tier higher. There is more going on driving wise on these tracks, especially for Tick-Tock Clock being one of the most technical tracks in the game.
Love how bone-dry dunes tried its best to actively sabotage your arguments
Girl, I genuinely don't understand how you can put Mount Wario on the same level as Mario Kart Stadium. I get that you wanted to keep the video fast paced, but please just explain a little more. How is the last part a dumpster fire? Why is the first part so much better? Would you Mount Wario? All extremely important questions which NEED answered, YESTERDAY!
I suffer a lot in the fallen tree section of Mt. Wario so I definitely get having it in a lower tier.
10:24 wtf is yoshi doing
Watching this video has helped remind me how much I don't really care for MK8's nitro tracks lol
THANK YOU now my hate for excitebike arena is validated by the mario kart man
20:00 The Mario Kart 7 special cup got it rough for names (DK Jungle, Rosalina’s Ice World, Bowser’s Castle, Rainbow Road). Nintendo really said “I give up.”
For some reason, I always felt that Water Park seemed unfinished.
