Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was my first MH game and it almost feels like I’m coming home, seeing Nerscylla, Gore, and the Ace Lancer again.

I HAVE REALIZED SOMETHING MIRACULOUS. I was looking at the environment of the Iceshard Cliffs, when I realized there were innumerable details that hint towards the ancient civilization! for example: 0:49 Several rocks in the background are suspended midair, floating without being effected by the winds. possibly magnetism? Might also explain how Hirabami can levitate so easily. 1:01 Top left of the screen, some rocks are connected by strands. These strands intertwine through the rocks, but don't move in the wind. This means they are likely rebar, rather than natural material. 1:06 You can see broken architecture and symbols in the stones of the background. 1:10 There are several stone doorways, shaped out of the surrounding rock, behind the group. 1:12 There is a massive stone wall behind where the woodwood is pointing. 1:14 On the left you can clearly see the remains of almost gothic architecture. They appear to be either pieces of railing or stained glass. There's probably much more, but that's the best I can find so far. More importantly, there was also plenty of ancient architecture in the other biomes too! From the artificial lightning rods of the Windward Plains, or the ruined stone structures of the Flooded Forest, or even the massive pipes and ancient infrastructure embedded throughout the Oilwell Basin, it's clear that the ancient civilization is ABSOLUTELY EMBEDDED throughout the whole of this game
