Spielberg, Lucas and Williams. Changed our lives for the better.
People do forget how much criticism Speilberg received initially, because he essentially re-invented the action adventure genre. It took a few major hits (of which he's got plenty now) before critics stopped bashing him
It's funny, I was born at the end of the 80's and by the time I was old enough to appreciate filmmaking, Jurassic Park was his big hit, but he'd already done most of the films he's known for: Jaws, ET, Raiders, etc... You'd hear stories about how nothing on Jaws worked and no one believed in him, but the narrative was that after Jaws, Spielberg pretty much had the keys to the kingdom.
Same same same.. respect . ❤
I have a great memory of things. Spielberg was never panned by critics it was more the Academy Awards would overlook him...Jaws , Close Encounters, Raiders, E.T. ,The color purple all films either with a best picture nomination or best director nomination and he won nothing until he won his first with Schindler's List.
Lex respect., spirit was pushing me I’d never go for it!!😂😂😂
What a get! Bob Rodriguez es el hombre mejor!
Nice!
If I may be blunt 😂❤🎉
His advice would be: Network. Don't read books. Crib your movie from other movies.
I believe he will find a better way one day it just wasn’t meant to be.
Nice Lex, thank you. We should write a book one day. 😂
His integrity will never match mine. At the end of the day we’re just not in a-line- ment
Authenticity isn’t your strong point t we forgive you. No worries dude. You do you. ❤ not you lex
I can't fathom knowing that Spielberg got bashed by critics. I mean, sure, it might of happened. I just was anticipating something else from this video.
I went to film school and he’s right, all the professors would clown on Spielberg. I remember one saying “his movies are like amusement parks”. Yah, they are an escape and they make a ton of money. 😂
When people bash Spielberg I feel embarrassed for them. Reply
World changing movies, for sure…. If there is one persistent complaint about Spielberg, that I personally relate to, it’s “his movies talk so much, but say so little”… Something about lacking a deeper message.
