There was another interview with Megan and Reb by Sportskeeda, notable thing was that they confirmed that the 1999 romance will be with the Drifter and not the Operator (for obvious reasons), and we might learn more in Lotus Eaters about why the Drifter is the one going to 1999. The two of them also apparently read over 140 romance novels this year, and they brought in an author from some of those to help design the whole romance system.

Eleanor is definitely Arthur's sister. She shares the same last name, Nightingale, as shown in the green introduction texts in the gameplay demo, and after Arthur defeats the tank, and she telepathically communicates with him, she straight up calls him "brother."

So here’s a neat piece of trivia. According to Sabuuchi, Cyte-09’s concept art is actually pretty old, and was shown to content creators behind closed doors as far back as 2018. Back then though, it was as a possible design for Lavos.

Scaldra keeps refuring to Arthur and the other protoframes as slugs. I'd love the irony of her turning into a proto Saryn. Something she'd probably hate. Maybe alongside an evil proto Octavia or Banshee tying into the On-Lyne story. Maybe that's too out there.

Well, in most cutscene previews they use Excalibur as a placeholder for you own player character. I picked up right away that whatever the Infestations squirts out is going to be your own character/equipped frame at the time.

One of the reasons they may have designed the new open world with these corridors is to cut down on how much of that world is being rendered at a time, potentially allowing them to design the multiplayer aspect of the zone to function more like TFD than traditional WF open worlds (which would play into the fantasy of the Hex working together as we saw in the gameplay footage). EDIT: or not. Made the comment before getting to the interview stuff.

Always appreciate your Tennocon coverage as someone who lives far too far away from Canada, or has the budget for such a long trip. Was great to see it from more of a fans perspective, plus thank you for covering some of the panels and events they didn't show on their official stream/channels. Like the one on creativity and writing (think thats what it was called). Much thanks and gratitude. I think my fav small random part was having Reb, Megan and Pablo come over to have a chat when you were waiting in line. Tennocon was so great this year, in general. Crowd participation was so hype and fun. I usually personally prefer the Devstreams which are more detail and system focused, that go into nitty gritty details, systems, mechanics, but Tennolive seemed like a blast and great experience. Even watching on stream, can't imagine how much fun it would have been to participate in person! That new relay is definitely worth visiting, all the Proto Frames have some pretty revealing lines, about themselves and others. Eleanor and Amir best girl/best boy respectively! (I mean all of them are pretty great!)

I do hope they touch up Rhino's Iron Skin FX when this comes out. The metallic retexture just ruines a lot of the possible fashion choices. I also hope that bit with Arthur v Excal might be more of an indication of an improvement in Warframe vs Warframe combat. I have been hoping DE takes out a few pages from Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy Dissidia in terms of such combat, which may simplify or improve Conclave.

The lotus eaters is also a reference to Greek mythology. Iirc Jason lands the Argos on an island and his men start eating lotuses and fall into a state of unmotivated euphoria, and so they don't want to leave.
