Treating an interview like any day on the job is excellent advice, and really was a turning point for improving my interview skills. I recently had a 7 hour round of round-robin interviews (IT) and they had asked me if it was rough. I just said (and honestly meant) that’s just what a great day at work would be; talking with talented people and solving challenging problems together. If you don’t enjoy talking to these people during the interview process, then I guarantee you aren’t going to enjoy working with them on the job
My interview is in 5 minutes wish me luck
1:43 is a key question. You don't want a bunch of people asking you to do different stuff when you start just because you're new here
I went to an interview and I asked two TWO questions. On the second questions, I got told "WE ask the questions, not the other way around." I decided I didn't want to work for them.
Just landed a job using these tips plus tips from some of your other videos.
I have an interview coming up and no one in my family has gotten a 9-5 job. You legit saved my life, like, 20 times already.....So thank you.
i have an interview today and came to see if you had any helpful videos, perfect timing!! thank you erin, your content has helped me navigate professional life
I had a phone interview yesterday scheduled for 12pm. I was going to spend the 10am hour finding questions for the interview, looking over the website and everything. But because of the time difference I got the call at 10am! I think it went well but I didn't have any questions planned. I freaked! And asked "so...when can I start? 🤡🤡🤡" I'm laughing about it now but definitely have your questions prepared WELL before the interview.
I randomly stumbled upon you TODAY and I have an interview tomorrow. I have had only one interview before, and I answered with “not that I can think of” when the manager asked if I had any questions 🤦♀️. So glad I checked your channel and learned this! I’ve now come up with 3 questions to ask at the end of my interview! :)
i never commented before but i honestly love your videos, both instagram and shorts and full lenght ones. you're actually really helping me erin, thank you
I have an internal interview tomorrow. And this was gold. It’s been forever since I’ve interviewed and treating it like my first meeting is a good tip 😊
Boy, your videos are full of great, dead on tips. You know your stuff. I'm at the end of a job search, but will be following you!
Hi Erin! Just want to say thank you ! I haven’t been in the market for a very long time and don’t know how to respond in interviews but I found you and your amazing advices and questions helped me launch new job… the CFO was impressed with the set of questions I chose from you . He said well play Wendy you got the job! Right after I received the feedback from the hire manager saying: the CFO said I want that girl in my team 🥳🥳🥳🙏 thank you so much again!
In my last job interview that lasted two and half hours, at the end they didn't ask me if I had any questions LOL my gut's telling me that's a big red flag. Gonna write these down for my next one, thanks Erin!
I have an interview for a position I immensely want in 12 minutes. Your videos have helped me so much! I've been watching them all week to prepare. Wish me luck! 🎉
2:50 is cute, the visuals really helped me understand what I need to do
