Hey Victor! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience! I am a mechanical engineering freshman and I been following your (and other engineering YouTubers) advice in how to get experience as soon as possible and after working so hard on getting connections, getting research experience, doing personal projects, and participating in engineering competitions I can now say it truly paid off. About 2 hours ago I got notified that I have been selected for a summer internship at Crestron Electronics. Finally the stress on how the interview went paid off! And I’m shocked and grateful because technically only juniors and seniors were able to apply but I met the hiring manager through a networking event held by my university and was able to convince him to consider me as a freshman. I am very thankful for you, I truly wouldn’t have managed my first year like I did if it wasn’t for the knowledge I gathered from your channel. Even if you don’t know me, you and your channel helped me so much. So thank you. I hope this little message helps you see how much your efforts to this channel are appreciated and how it impacts people just starting their journey in mechanical engineering.
I’m retired after 30+ years at Apple and I can say that he’s 100% correct. An internship is basically a long job interview. And a majority of interns get job offers after they graduate. Note however that one of the things we looked for is how much work you got done vs. how much of the intern social events (parties) you attended. Most intern work is grunt work… but we expect it to get done. Associates at other bleeding edge tech firms confirm that they’re the same way. An internship can be more important than the details of your degree if you can do the work and they give you a huge edge over graduates that didn’t intern.
I'm a mechanical engineering senior starting fall of 2024 at Arizona State University. I neglected to acknowledge how hard it is to obtain an internship. Applying to 50+ internships and having extensive automotive hands on experience I thought I would attain at least 1 but still can't and almost lost hope literally yesterday on 7/11/2024. I'm marking the date because today 7/12/2024 I found your video that gives me some hope. Thank you for the extra boost I needed to help me improve my resume , job hunting and motivation. I'll return to this comment when I've found an internship 🙏
Unfortunately, I don't even remember the last time there was an opportunity fair at my university. study at the federal university of Pernambuco(UFPE) in Brazil
Very comprehensive video. As a first year MECHANICAL engineering student, this video was more VALUABLE to me than other videos out there in youtue. For any engineering student out there, I highly recommend waching this video thoroughly. Keep going bro 😁 GOD BLESS YOU😊
I was also looking for this video from a long time.
Hello, I'm a mechanical grad student, we know that AI is implemented in all domains. Can you post a video about the applications of AI in the mechanical engineering industry.
What advice do you have for those who couldn't land an internship in Mechanical Engineering in their bachelors? I did try but I wasn't successful.
I’d love to get an internship.
Yes 🙌 the video must engineers are seeking
I am currently working on the online Embry-Riddle multidisciplinary engineering degree, could you talk about what an online student should do to be successfull
Why is inventor not in list
I'm 19 year old I want to be a mechanical engineer
Thank you so much for explaining it in both quality and quantified manner… this is very useful to me . I have one doubt , is the scenario same for even masters students who don’t have any experience ?
13:34 What would a company benefit from creating an internship position?
Does anyone know if there a specialisations in mechatronics. I know its a broad degree but can I specialise within it so i dont feel like a jack of all trades master of none.
Do you think it’s worth it to double major in mechanical and aerospace engineering? Also all the skills that are listed in company descriptions for companies I am interested in that I would have to learn and put on my resume fills very overwhelming. (Almost a second year student right now)
I have the 31st machinery's handbook
Thank you❤
