I am an old woman. I could be your mother. I have seen so many films in my life. At the cinema, TV, YouTube, whatever ... And this, this is the best series I have ever seen. So authentic, so beautiful pictures, cutting slow and sensitive, no word which is not needed. And the projekt ... absolutely awesome what you are creating! I love it!!!
Martijn, As a retired brick and stone mason, as well as Sketchup designer, I love how you brought your ideas to reality. The stonework and design look beautiful, and I could see the joy and pride as you sat in front of the first fire. It took me back 42 years when I did the same in my living room. Awesome job!!
The fire in the stove lifted my spirits. Words won't do here. Martijn, is a remarkable story teller. Nothing in this project is easy. Thank you for allowing us to tag along.
I watched the first episode again while I waited for this upload and every time I do it just blows me away how far you have come with this. All made by your hands, from the creativity in your head. And now this milestone! It's such a joy to observe this journey <3
Самий чудовий канал про життя ❤ а сьогодні в будинку вперше вогонь, то взагалі свято 🎉🙏💙💛
I read a comment that said, “we all helped build the oven-in our minds,” and I agree. I think we all feel a part of this magical place. We’ve watched from all over the world, many from the very beginning. All through the journey, we’ve been here mesmerized by the enormity of the task-and amazed that with creativity and hard work it is nearing completion. It’s beautiful lesson we all need reminding-if you believe in yourself you can accomplish almost anything.
I feel spoiled watching these videos, because I try to find the same level of balance in other channels, but when the person starts to talk their heads off I immediately close the player or mute it. I'm extremely grateful for your relaxing videos Martijn ❤
The design of the staircase going over the fireplace is stunningly beautiful and such a great use of space. The workmanship is so good that it looks like you have done it all your life. I'm truly in awe of what you have done, Mr. Doolaard.
I slso am an eldetly woman, 83 years to be exact and i have been watching and looking forward every Sunday from day 1 to seeing your beautiful home, when seeing the smoke coming from your chimney it brought a smile to my face and for some reason felt this was a special moment. Your staircase is absolutely fabulous as is your fire, what i wouldn't give to live in such beauty !! You have to be feeling a great sense of pride at what you have achieved so far. I just love and thank you for the picturesque views of your beautiful surroundings that you video for us.
By the way, thank you for the long video. An hour with Martijn feels like twenty minutes, he defies real time.
No man that I've ever known or not has worn an early morning silk scarf around his neck while living outdors or indoors ❤😂
I have worked in construction for the last 30 years as a welder and boiler maker. Today I am a 52-year-old sophomore studying communications and digital media design. I just want to say that I have enjoyed watching you grow and struggle through your build. There is a big difference between creating with Adobe compared to creating with your hands. You have demonstrated this nicely. Great work.
Can’t believe how much Martijn has accomplished since the last video! It is just gorgeous! Those stairs! Wow!!! I really appreciate how he explains everything so well. Most of us will never have the opportunity to do what he’s doing so we don’t really need to know it but I love how we get to understand what exactly he’s doing and why and how it all works. We get such an education watching this channel as well as just enjoying the sheer beauty of the alps and the environment. In this episode, I could really appreciate also the amount of extra time it must taken for him to set the camera up for all the different shots. The trip to the lumber yard day and night shots etc. Certainly appreciate all his efforts.
Gorgeous wood burning stove with the amazing stone work and stairway. The chestnut flooring will be beautiful. I love how the chickens call out to you each morning. They know their life depends on you. Am excited to see you sleep the first night in the cabin. Your design ideas and your work ethic have made your dreams of making your home something out of the ordinary. Please everyone press that like button as soon as you turn on the next video. This man deserves that. He gives us fantastic videos each week while working incredibly hard on his projects.
Hey Martijn , the woman at 35:20 asked you “lavori sempre?” (are you always working?) but you didn’t answer! here some phrases you can use next time: - Sì, lavoro sempre (yes I’m always working) - Non mi fermo mai (I never stop/rest) - Adoro il mio lavoro (I love my job) - Ho un pubblico esigente (I’ve got a demanding audience) 😉
OMG! I thought watching hens thrive and lay eggs was the best. But a burning oven in a cold windy day is something else. Well done Martijn!
I am 72 years old, I have designed custom built my own homes, it is such a pleasure to watch you every week for the last two years. You are very talented, you are a very creative young men ,you are building this stone house with such TLC.
Twenty thousand plus views already on this video but only two thousand likes....please help Martijn by remembering to press that like button. He makes such great content for us on this channel. Thank you Martijn, that fireplace and staircase is a work of art!
I just love it when the chickens sing their “Martijn” song!
