Hi Simon, I wanted you to know that your YouTubes have literally changed my life. I just turned 77 and at one time in my life I was a news photographer for 15 years. I started watching your videos and decided to get back into photography. I have gotten some great wildlife photos thanks to you. I don't know how much more time I will be able to continue taking images but I am thoroughly enjoying my life. Thank you Simon.

@garvitr.1061

I love when you say《I know you can do it》
This line has led me to capture a purple sunbird drinking nectar from a flower, one of my best photos still.❤

@mugen4041

The precapture and auto focus are incredible on the R5M2. It is amazing the action shots I missed without precapture. I love this camera. Thanks for your insight and airplane mode tip.

@trevorsneath4665

High eyepoint viewfinders are such a pleasure to use when you're a glasses wearer. Less scratches on the specs is a big plus.

@Twinscrewgt

Simon, I got to meet you on this trip, was one of the highlights. Such a nice and amazing experience. Thank you for taking the time to say hello and a photo! Love your work and look forward to your Lightroom tutorials!

@onlysublime

I love my R5ii !!! Still happy with my r5 but I pick it up less often and use it mainly as a second body for events. My RP remains my backup

@jimbruton9482

I appreciate your review Simon. Unlike you I'm not a professional photographer, just a hobbyist. As an R5 I owner, I've decided not to "upgrade" to the R5 II as what I consider incremental improvements in the new camera does not justify me spending another $4300 where I could keep that money and possibly invest in new "L" glass in the future. Your half a million wildlife and outdoor images taken with the R5 I are stunningly beautiful and if I can nearly approach that level of results with the same camera you used over the last few years, I will be more than satisfied.

@giganadiradze

You are the best wild photographer on this planet

@kylemeck1715

Canon Ambassador and getting review gear? Im glad someone noticed the work you've put in here. I bought a camera around the time you started making videos and it's been invaluable.

@johngiatropoulos3848

Surprised, but happy and encouraged that unlike most other reviews, you didn't have anything negative to say about noise at higher ISOs. It's what has kept me from upgrading...now you've enticed me to rethink

@deweymclemore9148

When you receive your R5 Mk II, we’ll look forward to you producing a “Setting up my R5 Mk II for wildlife photography” video!

@mandyspekman

In the last week we've seen (and liked) ALL your videos! What now??😮 We (my husband Guido and I) want more, much more! 😂😂
Our compliments to you Simon, how you share your knowledge and experience with your followers and how you really teach us about so many things.❤❤❤
Much love from The Netherlands and keep doing what you do! 💋💖

@carlbicknell5603

Actually a wildlife setup guide on the R5II would be great :)

@markseymour2121

I have recently upgraded to the R5 Mkii from the R6 Mkii, and don't regret it at all. The R5 Mkii is just better at everything, don't get me wrong the R6 Mkii is a great camera, but the R5 Mkii offers so much more. The AF system took me a little while to figure out getting the best results, but now i have it set up it works great.

@Jayrod64

The Canon EOS R5 is probably out of my price range right now. At the moment I'm happy with the EOS R50 as it strikes good balance of price to performance. I also find the EVF on most any Canon EOS camera is good, because they almost all use an OLED EVF. This makes for excellent contrast ratio and accurate colors.

@Huckl3b3rry_41

I recently upgraded from the 90D. The R5 II blows the 90D out of the water in every conceivable way, and I absolutely loved my 90D. I take a lot of hockey photos at 3200 ISO (at least), and the lack of noise is insane - incredibly sharp and almost no noise. With the 90D I’d have to run every picture through Topaz, with the R5 II, I cull, crop and I’m done.

@lebarner

Love my R5 II. I switched from the R5 1 and the Sensor is much faster and the Autofocus is much better in Backlight.

@PizzlesTechTime

The funny thing about my R5C is because Canon is so awesome they allow the new batteries to power the R5C at 8K60 and it lasts a lot longer.

Now I literally have no reason to replace my R5C but of course as a tech nerd I want to test all the new stuff.

@BrettKelleher

Love your videos. The best teacher out there!!

@RG-rm9jt

If I could get my Sigma full-frame glass in RF mount, I would switch to Canon. The ergonomics and UI look terrific. They'll hopefully open the mount some day. Wonderful pictures!
