Predators do not like human like noise and avoid it. Chickens are reassured by soothing noise. We used to keep a small am radio in coop at night. AM was popular in the 70's. FM I am sure would work. We tried everything and found they loved classical and all night preachers talking gospel. It is low power. You also, when your home, try to turn light on when it gets dark for a few hours at night or early in the morning. Extra light helps health and egg production.

Looked a bit discouraging after the wind storm. But it was funny, you have probably one of the heaviest roofs in the world, so heavy I kind of wondered at your stubborness, and then the rest of your modern roofs ripped off in one night. Thanks for the series, I really appreciate your showing us how you built all these projects.

I cannot imagine the sense of accomplishment and pride you feel at the end of this year. Although you made great progress by the end of 2022, the completion of so many milestones this year feels like a turning point. Perhaps the weight has lifted a bit and you can exhale a bit. Thank you for creating this "Doolaard world" for so many of us here in your community. My wish for you this holiday season is continued health, plus some sand and sunshine.
