Correction: It's not the swamps of Florida that stop an invasion its the rest of the state

@CJusticeHappen21

Kansas City laughing in it's impenetrable fortress, which nobody can hear.

@astr43us

US: our geography makes us invincible
China: what about balloons?

@LovleyLemonade

Midwesterners: Casts tornado spell at enemy

@Dark_Kevlarian

As a Texan, I think you're REALLY overstating the difficulty of the waist-high slow-moving creek that is the Rio Grande "River."

@feeberizer

I'm in southern New Mexico. The Rio Grande river is a dry river bed most of the year. Once the yearly irrigation allotment is met, the shallow river dries up. Easy for walking and driving vehicles.

So basically we got the luckiest spawn in a game of Civ

โ€œWe can never invade America, There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.โ€ - Japanese Admiral Yamamoto

@jamesfriesen191

100 years ago, that would've been the case, but the interstate highway network and huge rail network negate most of the internal geographic obstacles. The biggest reasons are Admiral Pacific and Admiral Atlantic - it's almost impossible to move a huge invasion force across either ocean without it being spotted and attacked.

@tyupton87

The US doesn't have a creamy center. The majority of our population and influence is located near our borders..

@Jsutdo

Imagine just like anime, USA shouting โ€œ CANADIAN SHIELD ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ โ€œ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@birblife6611

Any invasion in the Northeast would be immediately thwarted by sheer expense and rugged man-made barriers; you have to stop and pay tolls every 5 miles.

@supasmortguy

Pro tip:
"If you invade me I will release Diddy into your country"

@aydinsurdyke

Yon forgot Missouri in the summer, any invaders without air conditioning instantly dissolve in the hot humid air

@robinrigal-yn8im

East coast : Washington, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, etc.
West coast : Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, maybe Las Vegas
Invader : "Good enough"

@MKW31

Except most of the population are on the coastline outside of those barriers

@andrewnewsome4277

This is why the aliens always invaded America in the movies. Clearly, we provide the largest geographical and tactical challenge.

@SophiaVonHelgastein

Invaders into Minnesota in January....
Minnesota laughs in triumph as it says, "Invaders! Taste my polar vortex!"

@dingbat4

In the southern marshlands: โ€œWhy do I hear banjos and a fiddle playingโ€

@BangMaster96

US - Impossible to invade
Mexico - Hold my border
