Great starting point. I've gotten to where I at least have a hunting bow and a full set of burlap, plus stone walls on my base and a sheet metal door. No ones messed with it yet. I didn't realize some monuments were safe zones, so that helps a lot too since I need to get some scrap for a workbench. Thanks!

You can also gather cloth by chopping cacti with an axe. More reliable source. Good to build base near desert. Also, official server was rough with full pop. Took me 2 hours to get one sleeping bag. Found a community server that is way more forgiving for newbies/casuals.

love this game but god dang it, i play in smaller server of like 10-12 peeps on at a time maybe 20 in all but got a bully clan of 6 that just build turret bases outside everyone's base as server bullies and continuously break in and just loot dump all boxes. i know its the game but boy oh boy can rust get frustrating at times lol
