Despite Master Turtles' belief in a lack of accidents, I do think the message "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it" is more than a prophetic way to say there is one path, but that in avoiding certain things (primarily painful things) people can inadvertently make them happen. Hindsight is brutal because you see how what you did created the outcome you got, but can no longer change what has already happened. Being overly cautious is common and dangerous and sad, because failure is a good teacher and not the guaranteed outcome. This coming from a cynic who's seen too many good things to just remain a cynic.
