Here's the thing: it doesn't even need to do that. It is animate (meaning it can move. MOVE.) While you aren't looking at it. AKA it basically turns into a disney Beauty and the Beast character that is lightning fast and murderous the second you look away. It doesn't need to timber, it'll just bend down and do the job and stand back up again faster than you can blink when you close your eyes.
