@ATerribleFate.ButAGreatStory.

Imagine that, less money and two generations of men raised to believe we're dangerous predators who need to be controlled, do not want to date or have children. damn. it's almost like the two things are related somehow.

@shiftermelees4390

I once dreamed about being a father, but I can't be. Almost everyone who gave me a chance already had kids that they neglected and the few who didn't were too self-centered and expected me to pay their bills within the first two months of dating.

The genuine woman who want to be a proper parent are basically taken.

@Craxipst

instead of having 1 couple with 4 children, we have 4 couples with 1 child

@whalhard

When the system rewards narcissism, you get narcissists.

@PewKittens

Man the “over population” fear almost changed on a dime

@werewolf873

I want to get married and have kids, I just don't want my wife to be allowed to randomly decide that she's bored with me and take my child, my house and 50-75 percent of my paycheck with her

@kc9937

The lack of marriage material, parent material, financial security, and marital stability, has killed the reproductive imperative.

@chainsofscarlet9054

How about make it safer for guys to have children and not lose half of everything that they worked their entire life for.

Women have gone into relationships with the sole purpose of having kids to trap the guy in divorce court.

@shnorkeythefourth4572

I don’t care about the world state or money to a certain extent. The reason I’m not having kids is the fear the courts will take them from me when she inevitably gets bored of marriage and decides to make the unilateral decision to end things, backed by the force of the state

@bluelense7

No hope, no children. The world has spent several decades teaching kids that "No one really knows anything, nothing matters, do whatever you feel like doing in the moment, to hell with everyone and everything else."

Well, I could give the world the cold-shoulder, but then that'd still be giving them something to lean on, so I'd rather leave it all be, right where it's at.

@neondystopian

I literally have yet to meet someone who seems like they would make a stable, long-term spouse and parent

@WhiskeyBlock

I would love kids but Im stuck in the constant dilemma of when the man makes money everyone eats and when the woman makes money she eats 😑

@Rath_Burn

Step one: Find women
Step two: ???
Step three: babies
I'm still stuck on step one.

@confusedashell020

It is almost like removing people's confidence in the future and giving them no incentives to act they magically don't want to bring kids into the world.

Probably urbanization makes it much worse, cities are negative on birthrates.

@axelmilan4292

Gee, it's almost like bombarding the youth with messages of doom and gloom causes those generations to give up on the future! It's almost like pricing the overwhelming majority of people out of supporting a family leads to.....people not starting families!

@ratpos7285

Can't afford to have kids, 1/3 of men aren't even the father to said kids, and even if you found out you weren't the father, you will still pay for that kid for 18 years + alimony. The only way to win is not play.

@Buddy777-s9d

No fault divorce, hookup culture with no mandatory paternity testing and a load of inflation will do that to a nation.

@boneheadbill9976

When I was younger, I want a wife and a kids but women and their feminism ruined that for me. Also, the huge lack of loyalty and divorce rates.

@toriaoi1695

"Why does no one want to cross this mine field? Even if you step on one it MIGHT not go off! It probably wouldn't even kill you if it does, just permanently maim you!"

@L1mp1nB1zk1t

Have kids? I'd have to get married first to a woman who actually has value to me in today's clusterfrag of a society. Nah, I'm good.
