I'd say that Pewdiepie's success also directly spat in the face of the media. News outlets hated his guts when he accidentally dropped the n-word and the fiverr controvercy. The Wallstreet Journal particularly wanted to destroy Pewd's reputation and now he sits at over 100 mil subs, is married, lives in Japan and has a son and people still adore him alot.
