I got the obsidian, a full bit kit, rachet driver, the black nylon sheath (for the extra pockets), and a leather strap adapter that makes the sheath horizontal carry. All told it was about $400. I removed the pocket clip which improved the overall ergonomics. I absolutely love it!! No buyers remorse whatsoever. I have carried a multitool everyday for 30 years. This is the best one yet.
8:12 A lot of people are oblivious to the fact that these are actually prybar that can be used for flat heads but it's actually a prybar and hence the thickness
You made me order one with your enthusiasm, lol ! Only joking, I have the ARC already and have already ordered the obsidian as it even cooler than the standard ARC and I deserve one !
Bro if your gonna have lines on your desk you have to level and straighten your camera I’m experiencing vertigo
Great review! I don't have the Obsidian but I do have an ARC. It is the best multitool I have ever had.......well after a few mods 😂! I liked it so much that I modified my P4 to make it more like the ARC.
Magnacut is a Knife specific alloy specifically developed for Knife blades to have the qualities of high carbon steel and stainless steel without the drawbacks of either. High Carbon steels ae very hard and can retain the edge much better than stainless steel but are prone to rusting and most stainless steel alloys are rust free but are softer than compared to high carbon steel. That said, using Magna cut on any thing else other than blades would be counter productive and harder materials are also brittle and the body of a multi tool will not last long with drops and abuse if made of magnacut vs stainless steel that is relatively flexible and extremely resistant to cracking.
I’m probably a sick freak but I love the soft holster that the original arc comes with over the classic leather one
How has the finished held up with daily use? Any signs of wear on the tools?
My only gripes with this tool are, 1. For the price I would expect a bit more of a smoother/rounded edge around the sides. When gripping, if I squeeze it tight from the outside, it almost cuts into my skin, the wave is far better felt in the hand. 2. When using the screwdriver to unscrew anything relatively tight, the magnets holding the tool shut rub together sideways giving it an unstable feeling. 3. The scissors are rather difficult to get with 2 hands let alone one. The thumb stud at the top is very narrow causing you to to flick every tool on that side out along with the scissors, I know that there is a notch cut out below like he uses in the video but that involves you putting pressure on the scissors spring each time you slide them out, I’ve had that spring ping off and break on 2 separate tool through excessive cutting I would imagine it’s only a matter of time if you keep opening them that way. Other than those things, very nice premium tool, perfect for every day use.
10:21 Thats NOT percise at all ... Percise would mean a FLUSH close on the jaws
$200 for a handy tool. Gerber and Sog are a lot cheaper and you can use them for everyday use!
So brent what do you really think about the all new leatherman arc
9:08, you put your finger under the partially opened blade. 9:10, it snapped shut. That was a close one!
I believe it is 279$ and what did you use to clean it because the black comes off?😊
Is the blade going to be replaceable just like the cutters are😂
Tweezers wouldn’t be a bad addition actually lol
Beautiful but it makes me not want to use it.
So expensive and exclusive and it still does not come with a t6/t8 bit?! Frustrating.
When do you need that? I mean, for that money you can get a propper set of tools and a real knife.
