I saw the comment below on rainy day outfits...oooh yes what to wear on a rainy day would be so helpful!
Sets. We used to call them twinsets! Sweater and matching cardigan. Became synonymous with Twinset and pearls as a way of pigeon holing a certain type of woman. But glad to see them making a comeback. Always thought they were a sensible but stylish combo π
Yes please Lydia can you do a vlog for rainy days/ waterproof/ autumn doggy walks x
Iβm 73 donβt want to look like an old lady thanks β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπ
Lydia, could you please make a video what to wear on rainy days? It rains every other day in Northern Italy this autumn, and I am already hating my rubber boots and raincoat ππ Please no white pants π
I swear by underwear (leggings, bikers, camisoles, long and short sleeved tees) made of a wool/silk blend. Not scratchy and very thin so they can be layered under almost anything but much warmer than cotton fabrics. A bit pricey but worth it as you get out more wear of your upper layer.
Love your take on everyday ways to look chic and put together. Great way of combining fashion with not falling into the throw the same old thing rut.
Loved this Lydia. Ty so much. Great for North Miami Beach during our winter months when we can't go full on in the normal winter clothing that most wear in winter. I'm 69 and would wear all of these. I do love my long sleeved tshirts even in South Florida.
As a perennially cold English person this is such a useful video π I wear Uniqlo ultra warm thermal T-shirts under everything and really recommend them!
I have a few thinner wool jumpers that I wear under my thicker jumpers. They are all tonal and just give me that extra layer of cozy. I also love the Uniqlo thermals as another option for warmth π
Thanks for including things for those of us in the southern US where we have mostly warm weather year round.
I love the shape of blue of that shirt.
Really helpful! I'm trying not to buy more clothes and utilise what I already have and some of the basics I have and can use the way you suggest. Thanks!
Thanks for another great video, Lydia! I love long sleeved t shirts and they're perfect for transitional seasons β€
Thanks, Lydia! Cashmere socks are my fav during Fall-Winter season. Really need to buy a few pairs and it solves lots of problems.π
Lydia, footless tights are a GREAT piece of advice! Thank you!
Such practical and helpful ideas! Love the idea of tonal cardigan and sleeveless sweater (so I don't look "too old lady!" Lol). Plus love the suggestion to wear footless or Capri skin colored tights for warmth! Thank you π
Petticoats and shapewear are also a good idea for keeping you warm without being seen and having dresses or skirts that are lined makes a big difference.
Great tips Lydia. I have adopted the long sleeve top for layering for ever as I am cold blooded π. Love the look of socks with loafers, unfortunately donβt think I could pull it off at 59, Iβll leave that one for my daughters β€
