@Pierrelestafier

I've worked with three big law firms within the last 2,5 years in Denmark, and have thus tried quite a few job interviews. I have noticed that I always get these questions:

1) Why us and not big law A or B etc.
Unless the firm is unique in some way (that I know of), I usually reply that I dont know anyone at the firm, and have not worked with them or any of the other firms, so I don't know how it is to work here as opposed to big law A or B, so I cant answer why I want to work exactly here. All I know is that I think I would be a good match here because bla bla bla, and would like the opportunity to work with them.

2) Biggest weakness
I am so thorough with my work that I sometimes am a little slow when delivering an assignment. Everyone tells me that you almost cant be too thorough, so this is an easy way to avoid saying something they might dislike.

3) What can demotivate you?
NEVER EVER say bad leadership. I said this at a big law interview, and was told it was not the right match. It might have been something else or more, but I could see the looks in their eyes that I messed up. Now I say I am demotivated when working in a team that does not give 110%.

In Houston now preparing for my OCI interviews next week. I definitely enjoyed your video, your tips really calmed my nerves! Essentially these screener interviews are vibe checks, with a splash of potential typical law school/resume questions. Will definitely show my professionalism and personality. Thanks again!

Really helpful. I always go blank on interviews and don’t have questions at the end. I feel like most of the interviews I’ve gone on lead to nowhere. I don’t get excited, I get nervous. Btw I’m not a law student.

@maurquittahall

This was very informative, and reassuring! Thank you, I have an interview Tuesday. This isn't my 1st law firm to interview for because I was previously working as a paralegal but I'm so nervous because it's been years!

@natalybrown7677

This was so helpful! I just finished OCIs and got a call back for another interview! I sent thank you emails after the OCI and ppl told me that was a bad move but thankful you said otherwise

@toni7808

I have my first interview in a couple hours and 3 tomorrow! Watching this in preparation for that!!

@rachfayee

Thanks!

@henryjiang5969

Thank you so much for this video, Angela. And yes, please, please make a video of how to answer those interview questions. Even though I have not entered law school yet, I hope to find an internship next summer.

@AndreaLindell

Great video!! Would love to see a video on interview questions too. 😊

@eccentriclocs

Yes! It is all about how or if you will fit on the team. They want to see what the personality is really like and they sometimes hone in on β€œinteresting” things you may have done. If you ever find the time (extra timeπŸ˜†) consider being a consultant or law professor as another side hustle. Have a good weekπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

@hendsonpassagi2721

I just found out about your channel today and I am glad. I'll be starting my 1L this month and your videos are very informative. Will definitely bookmark this video so that I can watch it before securing an interview.

@hilaryfeng936

This is very informative and helpful!Please do a video on interview questions.

@regiz3418

omg the rumors are true. I heard the interviews are basically to see if they like your personality but that didn't make much sense till now haha. I'm not even in law school yet but I can def see myself panicking way more before the interview if it weren't for this factoid. Thank you so much! (Also yesssss Marshalls 🀣)

@mariaramirezarita5843

I loved your video. It was very informational and you gave great advice. I'd really enjoy a follow up video on how to answer questions asked at the interview.

@MJvlogs420

Great advice! I love all of your law school and career related videos! I start law school this fall 😊.

@xoyouaremysunshinexo

This really helped soothe my nerves, thank you so much! I'm doing OCI this summer and I've been freaking out lol
