Sinner is exactly what Carlos needs. Without him, Carlos doesn’t really have serious rivals, and his game suffers because of it. When he faces Sinner, Alcaraz brings out his best.
And Sinner knows that if he wants to keep up with Carlos on clay, he’s got to raise his level even more.
That said, it’s obvious to anyone paying attention that it’s been tough for Sinner—and his game—after being forced to stay out of the loop for three months. That clearly set him back, and now he’s got to work even harder than others to catch up again.
Still, by making it to the final, Sinner has once again proven he’s an extraordinary champion.

He’s so happy & thankful.. hope he takes couple of day to enjoy his win today.. he’s absolutely remarkable for just 22 years.. congrats Carlos.. what a lovely young man g man you are, & seeing pics of you dear mum & dad & your team family.. the pride on their faces ❤

Every time I watch Carlos play a match. My emotions are so up and down. I want so badly for him to win and I’m so grateful to watch this amazing talent. Today he played incredible and he wasn’t making as many unforced errors. Sometimes he tries to hit the ball so hard that he hits it out. But today he seemed to be in full control of his game and it was a beautiful site to see. 👀

@Littlestephy29

YES he said there is a different energy. i totally feel that. they really have an impact on each other. it's so interesting! like tennis chemistry.

@fajalobi-w7x

Carlos Alcaraz a player that spreads joy, just as he wants to enjoy his time on the Tennis Court!

@woesmevrou5673

Love the respect that Carlos shows to Jannik! Both men are real champion sportsmen.

@dear.capricorn

Jannik never forgets his team and family. Can't help but to love this boy. How appreciative he is, how much he's always looking forward, how he always mentions the support from his fans. Love him forever and always 🥹🧡

@paulosalavea2215

The level you played was just outrageous. You were focused and had so many techniques that you were able to use especially your drop shots….

@mariamunroe6861

CARLO'S TENNIS I Q IS NEXT LEVEL, HIS I Q PERIOD, ANYWAY CARLOS YOU ARE JUST A INCREDIBLE ATHLETE AND SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH...

@backto-il9ne

Carlos desperately needs Jannik on tour. Jannik brings out the best in him.

@markuse3472

The "Spaniard" who brought down the Roman emperor, just like in Gladiator (first movie of course). However, like most, I was not expecting and easy second set win for Carlos at all.
But Italy should be somewhat fine this weekend, Jasmine won both the singles and her doubles titles.

@GrantErbersdobler

No one asked Sinner about Carlos and everyone (almost) asked Carlos about Sinner. Even that shady Italian reporter asking if Carlos talked to Sinner during the 3 month break. Do journalists realize both of them can’t be close friends and rivals. Very hard to do that. Carlos has no ill will toward him whatsoever. They are both respectful to each other which is all we can ask or expect in such a competitive sport. Draper also won’t be able to maintain a closeness with Sinner as they start playing each other more and more in the latter stages of big tournaments.

@JeenyLee

Congrats to Carlitos🎉🎉, Vamos. Played very well against one of the best !

Jannik, great milestone to final after 3 months absence. You deserve a congratulations too. 👍🏻

@benjaminmoshatama6839

Sinner is such a gentleman! ❤️

@joelmacinnes2391

First of all Carlos is probably the classiest guy on tour, he's learned from the best though. What a good guy he is - and he was so sound mentally today, not trying anything crazy but just making less mistakes than Sinner and continuously making him play one more shot. Sinner is also class though, I don't think even Djokovic had his level of composure, even when things aren't going his way and he misses an easy shot on break point, he doesn't even flinch. He must have some mental hurdles now playing Alcaraz but by the look of it he doesn't let any of it get to him

@jpyesiam

Gran final. Buen primer set de los dos y muy buen segundo set de Carlitos. El torneo de Sinner muy bueno también, teniendo en cuenta su parón de tres meses. Parece claro que son los dos mejores del circuito.

Felicidades ALCARAZ!!! Ahora a prepararse para París!!!

@nirvasimeon6880

Why is he answering most of his press conference questions about Sinner and Sinner didn't get any about him?

@ayeayroncali6977

Anyone notice that his English is getting way better?

@exceri0n

Would be great to actually hear the questions

@philomenawilliams839

I wish they would ask Carlos about himself instead of so many questions about Sinner......gosh!
