@5:20 “Your forefathers went around the world killing people for the spice. Now you don’t want it?” I cackled on this line.
If aliens visit Earth, Trevor should be our ambassador. He can understand more cultural perspectives than anyone else.
Its not just his command of accent, which is a pointer to his intelligence, its also the brilliance of his delivery...How he started with "Schadenfruede", took us to his comical world of accents, then brought us back to Schadenfruede...One comedian I like to listen to.
Can we just take a moment and appreciate this man's ability to switch to different accents, and even sounds (zzz) so effortlessly. That is some serious skill to have lol
He's South African, living in America, performing in Canada—doing a bit where he recounts a story set in Scotland, seemlessly switching between Scottish, English, and Indian accents, while using his own accent for the narration. Ah man, what a talent! ✨️😅
As an Indian I could tell you the most awesome thing is not just the switching of accents, he is also switching mannerisms, which is really brilliant!
The fact that he addressed the Indian people at the restaurant as his people to his friends and wanted to order food for them so that he can ensure his friends are having the best of Indian cuisine was just pure bliss. Also that Indian accent was chef's kiss🫡🤌🏻💗
Even though it was mostly about food, the way Trevor spoke about Indian culture hit deeper. He imitated our accents the same way we often do with Western ones — not to mock, but with admiration. It felt like for once, someone made it sound like our culture matters. While many downgrade or joke about it, he uplifted it.
As an Indian at least there is one comedian who defends Indian culture instead of just saying awful things about india and it's culture mad respect for trevor hope for an Indian tour
When you can deliver without cursing, degrading, or insulting anyone and still be funny. I am a fan. One of the best comedians I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Dude, how are you this well travelled? You have such a deep understanding of what it means to be a comedian. You never make fun of something, but joke at something. Thank you Trevor. this was beautiful.
Amidst all the hate and prejudice against Indians, it truly warms the heart to see there are people in the world who still treat us Indians with kindness, respect, and embrace our culture. Thank you, Trevor, your words mean more than you know. Sending heartfelt gratitude and love from India.
Trevor casually throwing in “Kuch kuch hota h” is killing me😂 “Exactly”. He’s got the desi accent down😂 Love from India♥️🇮🇳
"And now he didn't understand me 'cause I Trudeau'd too much." 😆 You are brilliant, Trevor!
THE WAY HE LINKED THE START AND THIS ENTIRE ANECDOTE IN THE END WITH SCHADENFREUDE IS INSANELY GENIUS!
As an Indian I want to say that he came pretty close to sounding like an Indian..amazing talent! ❤❤❤
The best way to tell a story. Multiple jokes, side stories, flashback memories and a Mom call thrown into the mix! Classic!
As an Indian, I genuinely enjoyed this! Trevor’s humour is clever, light-hearted, and full of respect. Loved how he captured the chaos and charm of Indian food culture without mocking it. Laughed through the whole thing. ❤🍛
This is GOATish delivery of a joke! The way he delivered that kind of reminds of Dave Chappelle delivery 😂😂😂😂
