Mindy's book is so popular because she gives us a system where we can exercise our own power. Our conventional doctors and insurance companies just try to prescribe more drugs or surgery. They tell us, "you're just old. Face it. Just accept it [and stop complaining to us. Its annoying]. The medical industry--and media--systemically shames middle aged and post menopausal women. They tend to demean us. Dr Mindy gives us wisdom and methods that benefit us. The medical industrial complex needs to break down and support its patients with proactive information, and disentangle itself from big pharma. Mindys work gives up hope with the means and information to utilize our own power.

Startet cont. Glucose Monitoring 2 days ago. Learned already the difference between carbs spiking and low rising w/o a big spike due to taking berberin prior to carbs. It's pretty amazing what a difference it makes. And I did a 60h fast this week, felt amazing :) However during the last night of my fast I started the monitoring by CGM. The next morning I saw my sugar level dropped to 3.2 mmol. Last night w/o fast but with Berberin, it was very balanced during my sleep. So it is indeed wise to do CGM and have an eye on your sugar levels to better understand one's body during eating & fasting periods. Greetings from Germany.

If anything, I am reading labels, and looking up the ingredients. It connects because I have felt so frustrated with doctors, who really never, ever talked about what are you eating?. I went in with some GYN issues that looking back on, if I had quit eating the sugar and fasted, and addressed by stressors I would have not been suffering for 6 months with PH balance issues. I will say that too much fasting, did give me stomach acid problems, so now I understand, fasting should be periodic.

i think the eat all the time was based on grazing like a gatherer, but, not intended to be 6 whole meals ... just like a small handful of real food instead of any big meals
Dr. Mindy, I have acid reflux and have been medically advised not to stay on an empty stomach for too long. It actually causes me all sorts of symptoms. Any tips?

Ive been doing 18hrs fasting for years, and been on meat only carnivore for about 260days and nothing has really changed for me except not as much histamine issues although its pretty difficult trying to do high fat cos of histamine respone to animal fat. Still have bad inflammation, autoimmune issues🤷🏻♀️.
I really need help and guidance…. I just finished my 36 hour fast 3rd time but scale only moved once. I am vegetarian.
