This is phase 4 but feel more like phase 3.5. In ULB Sans is already accept his death after barraging his attack in phase 3, tiring both his mental and physical at the same time. It was already hard for Sans to have a will to try and stop determination soul. Just like Disbelief Papyrus, he act out of his character to resist the reality. But in the end both have accept the reality rather than prolonging the inevitable.

I know this is an old video, but I think I need to say something about the ending.. The Asriel hug... just MWAH Chefs kiss perfect! It's such a fitting ending. Sans is taking it a little 2017 styled *DISBELIEF REFERENCE*. I love it. He's emotional, for an always smiling character, he can truly express great emotion in his face. I love all the melodies in this, for example the Metal Crusher one, which is one of my favorite Undertale songs.. What an emotional ending, the higher pitched and more emotional tone at the ending of the song. Sans, Sans the Skeleton, The official winner of the Tumbler Sexy Man 2022 Vote, The comedian, the character that got mixed up with Snowdrake's genocide route dialogue. This community has come a great distance. 1:36 is one of my favorite parts, not only because of the light music, but mostly because of the 3 times Sans is hit in the whole fight is in the background.
