@QuarrellaDeVil

"We begin our lesson today with two of our holy Ten Commandments, 'Thou shalt not commit adultery' and 'Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife or his slaves, or his animals, or anything of thy neighbor.' We'll talk today about one serious offender who has made himself a 'graven image' and how he's violated a few of those other holy, holy commandments."

@CricketsBay

Perhaps you could talk about how the Pilgrims wanted to force their interpretation of Christianity on everyone else, and the English government said, "No." Then the Pilgrims came to America with their Bibles and now the U.S. has right-wing Christian Fascists forcing their religion on everyone.

@CountC0GULA

it feels like we live in a horrific cartoon world now.

@Bipolar_Badger

On the bright side, Catholic school made me an atheist.

@Gala-yp8nx

DO NOT OBEY IN ADVANCE!

@scowell

Poor teachers... poor students.

@SocksAndPuppets

One of the most important books we could be putting in schools right now is MAUS. I wonder why they keep banning it?

@Jenifer_R_

Meanwhile, over at the Mormon school...

"Okay class, let's talk about the time that Jesus came to America!"

@Darbobski

I left education thanks to MAGA parents and spineless administrators. There's nothing like getting a 4 year undergrad in psychology and a 4 year Masters only to have entitled conservative parents tell me that I have to put their kid into special programming "even if they don't qualify". It would not be so bad if administrators didn't punt and blame me for when it does not happen. Prior to 2016 I went through a due process hearing just once in 20 years. Now, there are several a year just because some parents think that their opinions matter more than those trained to make a special education assessment.

Not worth it.

@dianne5086

I thought forcing teachers to teach to the state standards and standardized tests and making them do more with less money was bad, but it must be absolute hell now.

@briandavis6843

Principal: "This is America." Teacher: "Can you be more specific?" Choice!! 🤣🤣🤣

@crazywithak790

I'm Christian, and I strongly oppose teaching the Bible in school. You want your kid to know your religion? Send them to a religious school or teach them yourselves. But we all know these so called "Christians" don't actually read the Bible nor follow its teachings, If they did, a man like Trump would be a pariah in this country.

@SocksAndPuppets

It's okay. Elon says he can replace educators with robots. We'll have them topping their pizzas with glue in no time.

@lorrie2878

I laughed out loud! Trump Bibles from China!! Chef's kiss!

@Sebman1113

They're trying to put the Bible in our schools for non academic reasons which is not a constitutional reason to have it in schools. Now I could see a place for maybe an RSV Bible in every English classroom as a literary reference to analyzing themes in literature and maybe it could be used in a context of world history or sociology but the Bible is to be treated as literature if it is to be in schools, not as a tool to force dogma. Im a Christian, a Lutheran, but I know the governments place and the Churches place, both important, very different functions. the Bible especially should not be in science classrooms, to use it in such a way is an abuse of the Bible and a mockery of the scientific method, it corrupts both religious and secular to do such a thing.

@johnfrench5279

This is no longer America, this is now Trumpland. I'm sure Google Maps will update the name any day now.

@shamluis2125

He was fired for teach Jackie Robbinsom later that day, because some parent didn’t think black people shouldn’t be in history.

@morticialechatnoir6884

I wish I could articulate my thoughts as well as you. I tend to become incoherent with rage.

@DavidStowers-o7k

The way Steve ends these videos are sublime. My favourite one has to be the bishop yelling at a republican congress rep.

@USMarshmallow

Feels like we're all on a slippery slope to hell, and the right is ahead of us, greasing the slide.
