Thank you both for all the great info! I consume lots of potatoes and cocoa powder, but thankfully, I also drink a lot of milk to offset the oxalates! 😅

@jx2938

Really helpful! Thank you both!

Interesting as always. But is it not a logical inconsistency to suggest that we shouldn’t eat traditionally acceptable plants because any parts other than fruit aren’t “intended” to be eaten? Assigning conscious teological intentions to plants (?!) not “wanting” their seeds, leaves and roots eaten contradicts your enthusiasm for eating animals, who are far more conscious and intentional than plants, fighting for their lives, not wanting any of their parts eaten! BTW, many plant seeds are successfully distributed by critters that eat them, then poop them out elsewhere with a little fertilizer to aid germination. Anyway, thanks for the mental stimulation!

This idea of eating fruit for carbs is maybe ok if you live in warm places where they grow, but try to drink orange juice as your carbs in places like Norway during the winter. You will be cold and miserable all the time. It is basically the worst thing that you can eat. Cooling foods like fruit in cold weather.. Even Chinese with their chinese medicine knew that many many years ago.. But many people who live in places like Canada, Russia etc. don't know this stuff and just blindly followed "Ray Peat diet" or you guys and ruined their health by forcing unnatural/worst type of diet possible for their scenario.. Do you even realize that? Go get a meal of cold milk and orange juice in -10 somewhere in Sweden and tell me how "pro metabolic" that meal was lol..

@ronaldgauld

Moringa powder is high in oxolates

We don't even drink cold water only lukewarm water. Bad for your qi energy

@BobNobody-p6l

Better off not eating plants
Simple as that
As just look at the excuses
And all the damage limitation like soaking, boiling and so on

Simpler do none of that hassle as with eating meat

To which were well adapted, all the other stuff is for the other animals to eat with their way of dealing with the plant toxins

We simply eat them

All goes around in one big circle & when we die
Chuck us in the sea or under a tree so they get us for dinner:)

But oh no some humans make it all too complicated

When it isn't:)
