Summary: 1. Exercise is good for you. 2. If you’re a runner, train your glutes. Also do weight training. 3. Eat high quality protein, and take creatine, vitamin D and magnesium supplements. Thank me for getting 1hr and 45 mins back.
My mother is 75 and she has started lifting weights. She has super inspired me to stay consistent with my exercise
He’s gotta be one of the best hosts of any podcast ever. He does such a great job asking all the questions the audience would want to know and not only what peaks his curiosity. He always addresses everything from every angle. Phenomenal job 👌🏻
3 habits that changed my health forever: 1.A cleaner diet 2.Reading book The Silent War on Health 3.quitting excess sugar
Seeing my sweet mother falling apart because she was so busy taking care of everyone else but herself HER WHOLE LIFE has motivated me to change. I'm not in best shape but when she said it's never too late made me cry. I'm deciding to do baby steps every day
I can't stress how much I appreciate he has paid sponsors so that we don't have to deal with the insufferable YouTube ads.
What’s truly crazy is, once you read Rethinking Health Secrets you realize how blinded you were, but it’s never too late. That book has some serious knowledge
The best way to get all this across to people, teach it at school at an early stage. We learn better earlier in life.
As a 23-year-old woman, I consider myself really lucky to have easy access to this kind of information—unlike my parents and older generations. I love hearing from experts who show genuine interest and empathy toward the world. I can’t wait to start this journey of improving every day, loving myself, learning more, and sharing the knowledge I gain from your podcasts and the experts you invite. Thank you, and good luck to everyone on this journey of growth and self-love.
For anyone looking for Creatine related, it's at @60 min mark
Steven, I am both struck by and grateful for your curiosity about the effects of menopause - I wouldn't expect a young person to take such an interest in what happens to this often overlooked section of the population, let alone a man. Thank you so much for this discussion! Dr. Vonda's insight is invaluable ♥
As a guy i wish someone had taught me about Perimenopause , our lack of understanding of that stage of my best friends life, led to the destruction of our marriage. I believe had I known we could have survived that very strange time of change that logically doesn't make sense until you learn about Perimenopause.
This doctor actually cares about people and her patients. I wish that I could find a doctor that actually cared.
I will be 80 in April, and in January I started weight training 3 x a week plus I started playing pickleball. I'm amazed at the increase in weights, energy & endurance over the past 2 months! I decided my last (perhaps) decade of life was going to be great!
As a 44-year-old woman that has fallen a bit off track with my health, this is an eye opener. Thank you!!
Someone with brittle bones here. I was born with the condition, had 15 major fractures to date (I'm 33), and many smaller fractures, plus hundreds/thousands of micro fractures. I have 4 metal rods and 1 metal plate in my limbs. Over the last year though, I've been focusing HARD on (carefully) strengthening my muscles, and hopefully, my bones. I've increased from 1kg dumbells to 4kg. I've gone from 7.5kg to 15kg on lateral pull downs. 17kg to 38kg on the leg press. All despite my condition. This woman is so, so right in what she's saying. Get exercising. Strengthen your bones while you're young and it's easier to do. If I can do it, you sure as hell can too!
I always save this podcast for later, when I can fully focus and feel ready to absorb A LOT of very valuable information. Usually I watch anything I like right away, but only half focus because life, but this podcast is different, I plan a window of my time to listen and learn without interruptions. So see you later 😊
I have osteopenia since my mid 50's, I'm 63 now. My doctors never recommended anything to avoid getting worst. I appreciate episode's like this that give viewers a better understanding of the importance of overall health and well being. Thank you!
The truth hits hard after reading The Silent War on Health. I thought I knew what was going on in health… turns out, I had no idea.
