I'm 71 years old, and I love her music.
I love the retro, burlesque quality of the video itself. It suits the lyrics and the music perfectly.
This was my cockatiel's favorite song. He would dance and scream along, "PeekaBoo"! He also screamed "PeekaBoo" along with EVERY song! But he was especially animated when singing and dancing to this song.
Siouxsie lives by the motto โdance like no one is watchingโ what an icon.
If you were a hip hop head then in 88 this was the first time we entered the Queendom of Siouxie. This shit went fkng hard!
When I went to the first Lollapalooza in the early 90's, Siouxsie came on at dusk, and totally set the stage for the final act ending with the headliner, Jane's Addiction. That was an incredible day and lineup way back then, all the acts were amazing, and some stood out and were simply stellar. Without a doubt, it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
Fun Fact: This was the first song to top the Modern Rock charts when the list was introduced in 1988. It also charted for two weeks.
2025 and it's still a banger, love you mother siouxsie ๐
This song is a production masterclass
Such an addictive song
I saw the film Jeepers Creepers in the cinema when it first came out and that introduced me to the magic that is Siouxsie Sue.
Siouxsie is beautiful and just so effortlessly cool, even now in 2023 she is still amazing.
The more I delve into their music, the more I am amazed by the sounds, lyrics, production and musicianship, let alone the vocals, absolutely stunning ๐
Criminally under-rated band. Siouxsie Sioux is a genius.
My absolute favorite Siouxsie and the Banshees song! Got to see them live on 12/11/1991 at the Palace Theatre in Columbus, Ohio.
A mix of madness, mad voice, vogueing style and desperately addictive:๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ
This sound is so genuine and damn awesome. I will never get tired of it.
