I agree, the filen upload speeds are indeed slow when using either the web browser or the desktop app, maxing out at around 15 MB/sec in my experience. However, if you enable the 'Network Drive' option in the 'Mounts' section of the desktop app and transfer files via the network drive (using Rclone), I achieve speeds up to 80 MB/sec with much lower CPU usage. I tested on a 1 Gbit connection from the Netherlands.

Filen's speed is actually fine, though most likely the best. They just don't pay for referrals lol. Take the lifetime plan while you can. You can easily resell it in a couple years at the same price anyway. Filen allows this completely.

Corrupted some of my files :( I have to say I've been with them for close to a year now. Overall an interesting option for the price, just would avoid using them for important stuff. Hope they keep improving!

Question: Does Filen automatically synchronize documents on my smartphone with my laptop/computer? Or can it least manuelle synchronize documents on my smartphone with the cloud, which synchronizes automatically with my Laptop/computer? I'm asking because for me, this is a very important feature.

Datacenter in Germany... big security risk. There were many cases of german law enforcement gaining access to Servers and Data in recent months and years. Even though everything is encrypted... still nothing I would want to trust

Filen is not good. File uploading problem. If you want to planning to buy this is not for suitable. If you love this you can buy direct with me. I want to sell only 10 euro for starter lifetime.
