Programmers just programmed an AI to replace programmers, they’re literally aiming a gun at themselves.
Joke's on you the AI would kill itself the moment it would see my code
I’m honestly not worried at all. The smarter the AI is the more complicated programs we can create. That’s like programmers that use COBOL being afraid of Java, and programmers using Java being afraid of all the options of c based languages today. Our jobs are secure guys we’re probably just going to be making cooler stuff.
AI is working to find the root cause of a bug for three days straight and is freaking out because it has to be delivered next day. Sounds like an villain origin story to me.
i spent an hour fixing AI generated code, the best use i found was for schedules, its really helpful to have an AI that reformats and also can add the time-consuming manual writing
I could imagine using it to save time on a project
Ai will have soooo much useful purposes in the future I cant wait to see how it evolves
Lol if you’re scared of AI replacing programmers: 1) who is going to program the AI? 2) who is going to debug AI? Probably programmers.
This is literally a blessing for programmers lmao
It'll take more developers to develop and maintain these tools, explain other Devs and non Devs how to use them and provide services, then solve all the more bugs, maintain documentation for all this, so it'll take more Devs to replace Devs than the Devs it'll replace
Last month I asked to copilot to implement linked list and it responded with the url of nyan cat.
I'm not scared. In my opinion as long as not everything is automated programmers will still exist. And if everything is automated then you as a programmer can sit back and enjoy. Win win
Clients actually have to be specific about what they want so we're safe
Stack overflow got a mind of its own
It better not, I just finished learning python 😂
It's just a fancy crowd sourced autocomplete. It can't solve new, complex problems, let alone debug them
If they able to code themselves that would be the scariest shit out.
"Way in the future". probably in the next year
we should never oppose automation, it creates more job then he took.
