The best thing about the first Cars console game is the open world solo campaign! You need to play that by yourself and I’m sure you’ll give it more globs
Wanted to say: having the little cousins in this joint was an immaculate creative decision - spice up the review by giving us a new format for a handful of titles, and also giving the perspective of the younger audience these games were made for. Great stuff glob
Brutal review of cars, definitely didn’t play enough of the game to give it a fair score
4:16 cutscenes ripped straight from movies were big deals when we were kids because movies weren't so easily accessible. Unless you owned the VHS tape, you couldn't watch the movies unless they were being shown on TV. So being able to rewatch scenes in the game was a cool thing.
Cars for GameCube and PS2 occupied me for tons of hours as a kid. It was my first experience with an open world game where you can just drive around and choose not to do the story. I was always a weird collector player that just went exploring the map and getting the collectibles. Same deal for Crackdown 2 for 360.
Disney infinity is actually available on steam now along with its sequel in a "complete edition" which allows you to play any character and playset without having to buy the figures
“Dashhhhh, hurry up! You’re late for school!” Is my childhood. 😂😂😂
35:09 The PS2 Wall-E game was incredible, you should've spent more time with it because you go to space and play on the axiom with Eve
cars is literally the best game lol
Ah, yes. My favorite Pixar protagonist... FILK.
That Toy Story skate game is CLEARLY Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4
Bro their Cars review took me out 😭😭😭
I believe Monsters Inc. Scream Team is technically supposed to be a sort of prequel. It shows you how Sully and Mike became the scarers they are in the movie by working through training towards a graduation. After collecting all bronze, silver, and gold medals, there's a brief ceremony for their achievements. It is indeed very repetitive because you unlock a new special ability after obtaining the bronze medals in each 4 level area. It's not until you unlock this ability that you then have to go back into each of those levels to finish it out by getting the silver and gold medals. I absolutely loved this game as a kid and would always rent it from Blockbuster, and of course I was never good enough to finish it before it was time to return it. As an adult I decided to track down my own copy to relive it, and while it's nostalgic, I agree that it's a very repetitive game. However, I don't think I'd ever get rid of it 😂
37 globs for Cars is a criminal offense 💀 didn’t mention how good the soundtrack was or how you can visit locations from the movie 😭 and actually free roam. The skins are fun and imo I like the mini games
The fact you didn’t know Buzz Lightyear Star Command existed means you didn’t stay up til 3am on Saturday mornings watching Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, Dave the barbarian and some other Disney shows 😂
I died a little inside when you called Flik from bugs life Filk
The PSP Ratatouille game is a great variant cos there's an actual story and you can actually progress and it's kinda challenging tbh
lol I’m that guy fighting your rating on cars. Cars for the PlayStation 2 was LEGENDARY. Open world to try to glitch your way around, tons of collectibles, and honestly it is easy. But if you play for very very long MUCH harder levels and I mean painfully hard levels come your way. 😎 99.9 globs
So glad you mentioned the difficulty of Finding Nemo PS2 bc I struggled so much with that game as a kid, was never able to beat it.
